Reflecting On A Reflection

Listen to "Reflecting On A Reflection" on Spreaker. I'm amazed at how much weight we put on our shoulders everyday. Dealing with it means walking the paths with numerous others struggling to make their own waves. I've been a daily writer since July 1994. A lot of invisible trash has been dropped on innocent sheets of paper. On this podcast we leap back to November 8, 2016. Mean anything to you? Do you remember it? Election Day 2016. A lot of moody people in and around the neighborhood and cities. People were in question. uncertain, filled to the brim with the most poisoned political commercials delivered by any generation. The daily writing that day was a note to a future self. He was pretty much saying, "I know you're there. No matter how things might change or go. I'm not gonna do anything stupid. See you soon." It's the first time I've been to this page since it came to life nearly four years ago. You think time's moving quickly? Think about your grandparents. Put some thought into your parents. They probably didn't write stuff down. Their story in your heart has a way of changing. Yeah the older we get the more we kind of go along with a story we think was right. Jotting down words for not just your future self but your grand kids is gonna share with them some pretty cool history. What was it like to see a business man take over the White House? Chances are you'll shrug your shoulders and not remember walking into that voting booth and having to make a decision. The day is quickly coming that we'll no longer talk about September 11th or the Great Recession. Yet it affected you. You were probably reshaped. Jot it down while you still have the memory. Someone in the future needs to know your story.
