Em Hoggett

Listen to "Em Hoggett Releases What I Want To Say To You" on Spreaker. The message is clear on “What I Want To Say To You”, the brutally raw new EP from Em Hoggett: She was raped. She spoke up. She’s encouraging other survivors to do the same. And donating the net proceeds of her new release to the American charity It’s On Us, founded by Vice President Joe Biden, and Rape Crisis England and Wales to raise awareness and offer assistance for rape survivors. Vocally, Em’s voice speaks to the vocal passion of Amy Winehouse, lyrical power of Birdy and intensity of Adele. And with gut-crunching, piano-driven chords, haunting melodies and seething lyrics seething through the passion of a musical inferno, “What I Want To Say To You” is a personal journey through hell – from the attack, hatred and feeling of worthlessness to ultimately finding salvation through music to save herself as well as empower other victims to seek help and realize that they’re not alone. “It was like my body was giving me a message that I had to DO something about it,” Em explains. “I called my mum for advice and she advised I write a letter to my attacker, not necessarily to send, but that getting your feelings out on a page is something that helps many survivors.” The letter came in the form of a song – a song that would evolve into the four songs that became the EP. After suppressing the emotions for years, and still struggling with denial, Em wrote the title track in only 10 minutes. A few days later, she posted the song on social media as a way of letting the experience go, begin the healing process and also to help other survivors feel understood and less alone. The response was overwhelming. She received touching notes of support from both close friends and strangers who had been through the same experience and felt that the song helped them cope with their trauma. As Em began to accept what had happened, she became angry. Very. Angry. And not only at the realization of her own attack, but also in response to others who had been attacked. "The resulting song is “Anger”, a raw, natural expression of emotion that was closely followed by "Will It Always Be Like This" as she wondered if the darkness would consume the rest of her life under a painful cloud. In the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, she composed the final track, “Get Out” to deal with the feeling that an attacker and the experience would always physically live inside her body. “Music saved me in a moment of utter loss,” Em says.

Brad Armstrong 3 Doors Down

Listen to "Brad Armstrong From 3 Doors Down Gets Off The Tour Bus" on Spreaker. Rarely does a Rock Star step free of the tour bus to tour the towns they're performing in. That's all changed for 3 Doors Down front man Brad Armstrong. Twenty years deep into the chapters of Rock n Roll and he realizes he's missed a serious part of the journey. Getting off that bus required a huge change in his life.

Ace Frehley

Listen to "Ace Frehley Talks About Origins Vol 1" on Spreaker. Creating this project originally started out as a couple of music buddies overdubbing some sounds. What it grew into was what's going to become a series of album releases that not only honor the artists but the songs. Ace talks about working with Slash in his studio while utilizing the power of digital with Paul Stanley in another.

Counting Down The Days To Harvest

Listen to "Counting Down The Days To The Harvest" on Spreaker. Transitioning from a closet Christian to a public relationship with a loving God isn't as easy as many leaders of the spiritual journey make it. I know in my heart why so many looked at me with eyes from afar because just like broadcasting everybody thinks they can do it. Oh God! I got this! A couple of months under your belt as a believer and you're ready to serve. To you personally it's a brilliant new beginning. It's a day of celebration. Then one skipped Sunday leads to a second which then creates the story called: It just got in my way. I hear it all the time on the streets of make me a radio person today! I can only speak on behalf of my forty years in radio when I say there are 98% more people that walk away from that spur of the moment dream then those who physically attain a position inside a control room sharing well shaped thoughts for passerby listeners. Religion and radio are hard work. It's almost like they're twin brothers from different mothers. What you share on either stage has the unique ability to lead people. I still have air checks of my 14 year old self spinning music during the disco days. I was committed to the industry like it was a religion. Today's podcast jumps into the center of the ring. How do you push your passion beyond the day of doubt. I write everyday. I don't expect anyone to pull off that discipline. In being open with my atmosphere I'm introduced to one thought. I am not who I was yesterday. I am a new beginning everyday. In living this mindfully I realize that instead of expecting a harvest, we learn to countdown the days to the harvest. Did I know as that lame butt teenager in Billings, Montana that I'd be still doing his dream 40 years later? No. I do know that he never put a time limit on his dream. He knew how to accept the bumps in the road and turn them into lessons his heart would learn to trust. I am not who I was yesterday. I am a new beginning everyday. It opens your heart, your mind, your path. Your day of victory is every morning when your eyes open. Be blessed that you got to wake up.

Corey Wells Of 3 Dog Night

Listen to "The Late Corey Wells From 3 Dog Night Talking About Record Company Gifts" on Spreaker. We all love it when the one footing the bill walks into the room a very happy camper. In most cases there's always some sort of bonus for work well done. For the late Corey Wells of 3 Dog Night he remembered what it was like when the record company first heard the song Mama Told Me Not To Come.

Troy Luccketta from Tesla

Listen to "Troy Luccketta From Telsa Lives Music In Forward Motion" on Spreaker. To watch a drummer perform live is a time machine moment. Every beat leads the band in forward motion. How far off the truth am I? Tesla's drummer Troy Luccetta says being in the future is where it's at. Even when the band got together in 2000, to relearn those songs wasn't a trip back but rather a reason to be where they were about to take them. Look for the new Tesla album produced by Phil Collen of Def Leppard in early 2019.

Bringing Together Left And Right

Listen to "Bringing Together Your Left And Right" on Spreaker. This is the way I think. My writing hand is on the right. What does the left hand bring to the reasons of being creative before the sun rises? Paying attention to all that's required by the opposite side of your progress is a very interesting walk toward understanding how we need both left and right to accomplish a mission. I'm amazed at how each tool reaches beyond balance but physically make it possible for our stronger side to bring forward its reason and purpose. While writing the land hand supports the book the words are being put in. Connected to a wrist and forearm it sends signals to the other side as if to say "Push as hard as you want to get those voices in your head out. This book isn't going anywhere." Look at the way we type and or text. Both sounds are incredible music to my creative soul in the way that communicating with another person or thing is a connection. How did we get to this day? It's layers of experiences. Like your left and right side the view couldn't be predicted but when it arrived all that you are and were seems to paint a point of balance. On those days where you're extra tired and feel the least about wanting to go to work or do household chores, those are the moments when your body performs it's best work. You're aware of where you are. Absolutely it's tough to bring something forward but in the end you'll feel so much better about it. In this podcast I talk about walking through such clouds and how to achieve a greater step by openly admitting that today can be changed if we exert more positive then negative. I mean those bad vibes are already focused on the steps why not allow it to touch the opposite side of your attempt to make great out of a bad moment? Even if you're having a brilliant time allow there to be an appearance from the other side. That's where I usually take chances and find it to be more acceptable when I fail. Look at your left and right hand. Watch each of their abilities. Study their performance during times when you think one is being lazy. The view isn't shocking but more rewarding by way of respecting more of who you are in that body.

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter 122

Listen to "The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 122" on Spreaker. I recently sat staring into a swarm of Dragonflies. My studies of Native American Spirituality opened the soul I carry to what it meant to be in such a moment. To become aware of falsehoods, deceit and illusions. I could've easily stopped there but I wanted to bring God into the picture. Dragonflies in that shape of study represents transformation. As a writer and endless thinker it was now time to blend the two messages. But it had to be done by way of not the human looking at the Dragonfly but the Dragonfly looking into your eyes. What would it see, feel, imagine and quite possibly learn? What types of energy are you generating that would inspire or warn the Dragonfly of there being possible danger? I'm amazed by the enormous amount of pictures posted on the social networks how and what influences us to move in any direction. If a Dragonfly were to watch what you post could they identify who you are and what you're teaching them to become? This is not judgement but rather awareness. The other day an interviewer asked me, "How would you best describe Arroe Collins?" Without a breath of air in between us I instantly shot back, "Arroe doesn't know. Twenty four years of daily writing and not one string of understanding comes to terms with who and what the purpose and plan are designing. The goal is to grow everyday. It's to be open for constant change. I don't mind being different in all aspects. I accept weird. I'm better at being bad. I practice it every chance I get. The more I practice bad the better I get at becoming better. Being in a bad mood is every reason to study behavior. Having a bad radio show opens my imagination to identifying what I was trying that was new and out of tune to my habits. Asking an artist a bad question doesn't represent bad show prep but maybe I wasn't truly listening to the conversation and it come into play by being out of place. Do I know what the Dragonflies were telling me that day at Andrew Jackson State Park? Falsehoods, deceit, illusions? Was God introducing me to a transformation? Being aware of all things evolving opens your heart and mind. Trusting it sets you on a path of victory.

Jon Carmichael

Listen to "Jon Carmichael Releases His Once In A Lifetime Photograph" on Spreaker. One year ago millions of Americans came together as “cosmic magic” swept away America’s troubles during the Great American Eclipse. For the first time in 99 years the moon’s shadow raced across the U.S. becoming the most-observed and photographed moment in history. In celebration of the anniversary, New York-based artist Jon Carmichael is publicly unveiling a photograph, which many say, could be the greatest photo of an eclipse ever achieved. In order to capture this amazing photograph, Carmichael flew across the country to catch Southwest Airlines from Portland, Oregon to St. Louis, Missouri. His biggest fear was not getting a window seat and missing the once-in-a-lifetime moment. But thanks to the fantastic crew, he got a great seat and the flight captain performed a series of five 180-degree turns while under the moon’s shadow ensuring that he would get the shots he desired. Jon Carmichael, a Las Vegas native, is a self-taught photographer who started his career at age 20 with the purchase of his first camera. He quickly became one of the youngest high profile photographers in the world with photos of President Barack Obama, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder and others. Carmichael’s deepest passion however, remained in Contemporary landscape and astrophotography. For the last 10 years, Carmichael has devoted his efforts to honing his craft and creating a series of breathtaking photographs from many of the locations he has traveled to around the world

Bill Holderman and Erin Simms

Listen to "Bill Holderman and Erin Simms Creators Of Book Club" on Spreaker. Book Club follows four lifelong friends whose lives are turned upside down to hilarious ends when their book club attempts to shake things up by tackling the infamous "Fifty Shades of Grey." From discovering new romance to rekindling old flames, they inspire each other to make their next chapter the best chapter. The film also stars Andy Garcia, Don Johnson, Craig T. Nelson, Richard Dreyfuss and Ed Begley Jr. Book Club is a definitive choice for Holderman’s directorial debut. A film about women in their 60s breaking both self-imposed and relational barriers – carried by a cast of Oscar© winning legends - is an atypical choice for a younger male director who co-wrote and co-produced it as well. Even better, he co-wrote and co-produced it with his friend and colleague Erin Simms, an intrepid filmmaker, who like the narrative’s characters, is emboldened to break any “no.” It’s a debut for Simms too – the first film she wrote and produced. The Blu-ray Combo Pack is loaded with uproarious bonus content including deleted and extended scenes, interviews with filmmakers and the iconic cast, explorations of the writing and casting process and behind-the-scenes footage from the set.

It all ends with the loser having to ‘Face Their Truth’ by revealing their dirty little secrets, all while hooked up to a lie detector test. Hearing The Command By Way Of Being Transparent

Listen to "Hearing The Command By Way Of Being Transparent" on Spreaker. I wish there was a microphone that was strong enough to record the voices in your head and heart. The problem is we'd turn it away from ourselves and put focus on others. Being transparent has been a hot button for a couple of seasons. Companies throw it out like a worm on a hook. I hear it in car commercials to banking leaders trying to convince potential clients to switch over to their side of the financial tree. In this podcast I ask a simple dull roar question, "Are you being transparent with yourself?" In this age of identity do we have the courage to expose the experience required to get you where you're presently standing? I once got in trouble for being too transparent with future Broadcasters. I was told to dream with them not create what could become a nightmare. I get it. I was once there. I've lived this radio path for 39 years. That doesn't make me an expert. Only a participant. Several chapters into my personal experiences I wish someone of greater experience would've said,"That decision you're about to make isn't wise. Rethink the path." Here's what happens in moments like that. Those voices in the head and heart shout out, "Mind your own business!" This isn't a knock on bosses but most decision makers are more interested in their success rather than grasping onto the reins of reality. Multi tasking has rotted the fields of preparation then delivery. Not an expert. I'm only a participant. Transparent. I just told my inner self to continue dreaming. We're going to locate victory. Anybody can do the jobs we bring to life everyday. From radio to preaching to driving for Uber. Fulfilling that empty spot in your soul requires a personal act of energy that's going to feel like Mark Walberg in a war movie. He gets up. He knows his mission. You heard the command. It's alive inside of you everyday. Stop yourself from walking away. Know your mission. Be transparent.

Where Is Your Faith

Listen to "Where Is Your Faith" on Spreaker. I'm bothered by the title of this blog. What is faith in a society addicted to winging it? You only live once right? On my radio show today I did a break over an intro that questioned the title of The Talking Heads song Once In A Lifetime. I said it doesn't exist. In 2018 we will empty our bank accounts to make it twice in a lifetime. So says the man that's seen KISS nine times, Bruce Springsteen four times and The Eagles three times. Those are once in a lifetime performances designed to become part of your thread. As we weave ourselves through the adventures of life the notes taken pretty much become long gone thoughts. What we crossed during the storm is re-thought not written to better serve today. As a daily writer, I'm able to easily return to any day and year for the past 24. I'm amazed at how many thoughts tossed down on paper are physically speaking to my present day. On May 18, 2016 I asked the question, "Where is my faith?" Faith in what? Radio? God? Family? The price of rice? The writing didn't go any deeper. On this podcast I walk through the paragraphs leading to the questions and you'll see how writing, creating, posting thoughts on social media or hosting a physical conversation on the phone, we all face change. Not when fate's in the mood. It's every moment of every day. We aren't designed to agree with it. We never truly have the time to accept it. The American Dream isn't dead. We just keep changing our minds.

Humbled By Unconditional

Listen to "Humbled By Unconditional" on Spreaker. Humbled by unconditional. That's a pretty hefty road to follow. In an age of digital process there are too many outlets to serve self. Each morning while the Carolina sun is rising my dog and I take a walk. While she's sniffing every plant on the planet I'm softly saying out loud my intentions for the day. It is my intention to walk into this moment of now to create radio that reaches people. It is my intention in this moment of now to create commercials that bring joy to a listeners life. It is my intention. I'm humbled by every element that shapes the path that Jazzie and I walk on knowing that the next movement is far more unpredictable then the strings that guide a hurricane. Humbled by unconditional. No matter what... Unconditional serves. That's extremely difficult to digest when times are tight and sickness is too easy to catch. No matter how dark doubt is the idea of knowing something is unconditional paints on both sides of the artist's canvas. That of hope. That of fear. On this podcast I ask "Who do you trust? Who do you serve? How important is self while placed in the center of so much to be grateful for? It seems like an automatic to keep missing the truer moments of now. Your intention today is what? Does your boss know that you serve a greater power? What if they did know? I wrote a piece in my journals the other day that asked,"If I am living a life of being present in my now, does God know of my past and future?" Humbled by unconditional.

The Turning Points

Listen to "The Turning Point" on Spreaker. We all endure it. Most of the time it's not by choice. The turning points in our life are moments when the next decision made is set free because it opens the path for you to live a new way upon a path you might not recognize. My sister's heart attack this week was a huge turning point in her life. Her victories to this point were all centered around being sober for a couple of decades. Now she has a new page to add to that journey. Not only is she a survivor of setting alcohol aside but now she's been infected and affected by her body breaking down in places that could've taken her life. Something as simple as adding God to your daily diet can be a huge turning point. I didn't realize that going public with my spiritual walk would cost me lifelong friends. For many it's not easy to be around religious minded individuals. A good friend said it's because my openness makes them feel guilty about their dammed up emotions and expressions. I'm not out to save anyone. I'm not going to lay my hands on you and shout, "Heal!" This totally goes against the majority of the belief systems. We're always supposed to be ready to reel in new fish. That's no my turning point. I'm not even new at this Good Word way of living. I've been strong with my faith the entire way. I just didn't talk about it. It was the way we lived back home in Montana. The official family rule book vividly stated that we don't discuss politics and religion. To this day my mother won't touch the subjects and she's a strong woman of God! None of us are as empty as we feel. We only act like we're blind. Your eyes hold the elements that make up the world. When you're asked to clean your desk and leave your place of business that's a turning point. Falling in love is a turning point. So is the act of setting aside a blog and stepping outside to enjoy the rising of a new sun. Learning to not only expect but respecting our turning points is a struggle. Mainly because we have a vision of who we think we are. It's not that we're wrong. We just don't want to step free of the comfort zone. When those turning points take place that's when we begin to struggle with the idea of having to eat, dress, accept and or leg go of things a new way. The turning points won't go unnoticed.

Dana Bowman

Listen to "Dana Bowman How To Be Perfect Like Me" on Spreaker. From the moment their children are born, mothers are under tremendous pressure to be “perfect.” They are expected to keep their emotions in check during grocery-aisle tantrums, engage their children regularly with Pinterest-worthy activities, and eschew jarred baby food for organic, homemade creations. Living up to these kinds of expectations is challenging enough without also having to manage the coping mechanisms we employ to handle this kind of pressure. For moms who struggle with alcoholism, parenting can prove to be especially challenging. Humorist Dana Bowman candidly details these struggles in HOW TO BE PERFECT LIKE ME (A Central Recovery Press paperback; on sale August 21, 2018), the follow-up to her award-winning memoir, Bottled. Offering comic relief and encouragement to moms seeking a coping mechanism for the day-to-day expectations and monotonous schedules of family life, Bowman draws on her hilariously relatable experiences to guide readers to insightful conclusions. Parents from all backgrounds will appreciate Bowman’s playful sarcasm and unbridled observations in wry chapters such as: How to Stop Buying All the Self-Help Books How to Relapse in Footie Pajamas How to Shop at Costco and Not Give into Despair How to Be Married and Content at the Same Time How to Escape Your Family Tackling heavy issues such as overwhelming dread, marital dissatisfaction, death of loved ones, and the depression accompanying parenthood, HOW TO BE PERFECT LIKE ME rejects quick fixes and opts for radical acceptance. And, it is Bowman’s profound choice to embrace humor in the face of despair rather than to relentlessly live up to society’s unattainable ideals that liberates her readers from oppressive perfectionism. Written for those who worry that their entire purpose in life has been reduced to wiping down counters, as well as for moms who have found themselves helplessly drinking vodka from Veggie Tales sippy cups, this insightful and entertaining book is a much-needed, empathic guide for parents seeking encouragement on the path to sobriety.

Randy Hartley and William Mwizerwa

Listen to "Randy Hartley and William Mwizerwa From Beautifully Broken" on Spreaker. Beautifully Broken is an inspiring true story of hope that follows three fathers. The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter 121

Listen to "The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 121" on Spreaker. While growing up I always took note of the older generation getting away with a lot of things they said and physically did. It's almost as if a person hits a certain age and society accepts their actions as just being what old people do. Being the bystander I wanted to know why so many forgave the actions. More importantly what would turn off someone's personal censors? My trip back home to Montana gave me a lot of insight. I heard these words a lot, "It doesn't matter." Wow! Talk about a Debbie Downer moment! It doesn't matter? I heard the other day a radio disc jockey talk about what it's like to turn 43 in Charlotte, NC. He said, "You begin to realize that everything you dreamed about becoming probably isn't going to happen." Basically meaning it doesn't matter. It hit me hard. Especially while lecturing yesterday to a large group of future leaders. While in break an 18 year old guest walked up, "Love the energy. Sure looks achievable. But...it doesn't matter. I don't have the talent and skill to pull something like that off." Without trying. Not a walk or waddle through victory or challenge. At such a young age. It was already decided. It doesn't matter. Those making business decisions say the same thing. The struggles have been taxing. The view of what the upper managers see and demand. It doesn't matter. I can't reach that far. I've had very successful friends walk away from their unbelievable positions in business. It doesn't matter. Can we turn this around? People are trying. New growth is an everyday event. Staying true to the source of energy is a bump in the road. Our constant need for instant success mandates that our positions of thought be in tune with a very out of tune consumer. Saying it does matter is a life changer. Winning is a choice. Do you see a rainbow then look for the storm? I'm guilty! Why does it rain while the sun is shining? I tend to laugh it off because it proves that Mother Nature is just as weird as the rest of us. When you tell yourself that it doesn't matter you're ripping the scab off an old wound. Telling yourself that it does matter revitalizes your intentions. The perfect solution is being aware of what you say and how you say it. When it matters your presence in other peoples journeys make you a leader and not a quitter.

Am I Frozen In My Now

Listen to "Am I Frozen In My Now" on Spreaker. This could easily be turned into a multi layered podcast with no way of truly locating the right answer. Yet I'm charged up with the fact that such a thought and or feeling fell across my path and I didn't walk over it. I chose to pick it up. To make it a part of my now. Mindfully I listen. On today's show I dive into the very center of a lot of paths meeting as one. Openly I admit that in order to get from my twenties into my thirties, forties and fifties I've had my share of Self Help and motivational books. I love them all and read many of them as great reminders. I've studied Native American Spirituality to Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity and for a moment I honestly thought my trail of tales was headed straight for Scientology. I've always been this open sail shooting a ship across an unknowing universe. Because I mindfully walk in the moment of now, I asked while in prayer, "Do you see me only in the now?" Then came those dreaded words that too many people pop out when doubting, "I often wonder how others pray?" Is it a question that crosses the line? I spend a lot of time writing about living a life in the moment of now. How difficult it is to remain free of a past you can't change and a future that doesn't steal from the shape of today? If it's all I activate. Is it the only thing God sees of me? Preachers will shout at the top of their lungs,"God is the all knowing. He see's everything." I respect that. But if what I activate is the moment am I missing out on valuable lessons planted in the roots of a time my heart no longer recognizes? As leaders do we keep ourselves from growing if we don't utilize the tools experienced during times of reaching forward, through and around giant boulders designed to look like dream breakers and careless whispers? In what you think about not just now but daily are you frozen in a time that creates no room for growing?

CR Andergregg

Listen to "CR Andergregg From Air Warriors" on Spreaker. From the F-22 Raptor, the United States’ first nearly “invisible” plane, to the F6F Hellcat, the aircraft that was responsible for turning the tide of WWII in America's favor, Smithsonian Channel’s popular series Air Warriors looks at the most extraordinary aircrafts throughout our nation’s history. The series touches on everything from the technical challenges to the tragic failures to the remarkable triumphs against enemy forces. Accompanied by dramatic combat footage -- author, former Director of Air Force History and Museums, and former F-15 and F-4 fighter pilot Dick Anderegg can introduce viewers to some of our nation’s most amazing accomplishments in aviation, share dramatic and heroic stories of our country’s most dedicated pilots, and discuss the amazing new technology now used in military aircrafts. Dick Anderegg was an Air Force officer for 30 years, during which he commanded an F-15 squadron, was twice a fighter group commander and twice a fighter wing vice commander. He also flew more than 170 combat missions during the Vietnam War. Following his retirement, he wrote "The Ash Warriors," a history of the Mount Pinatubo eruptions and subsequent evacuation of Clark Air Base, and "Sierra Hotel," a history of the cultural changes that occurred in the U.S. Air Force fighter force during the decade after the Vietnam War.

I & II).

Flynn Berry

Listen to "Flynn Berry Releases A Double Life" on Spreaker. In 2016, Flynn Berry burst onto the literary scene with her award-winning debut novel, Under the Harrow. Bustle crowned it “the thriller of the summer” and Berry went on to win the Edgar Award for Best First Novel. Under the Harrow was met with a chorus of acclaim from critics and readers who loved how she “imbues the classic murder mystery with rich emotional depth” and explores the “fierce, complicated love that exists between sisters” (O, the Oprah Magazine) while keeping you turning the pages. The mystery at the heart of her second novel A DOUBLE LIFE was inspired by a notorious unsolved crime: the Lord Lucan Case, in which a British Lord attacked his wife, murdered his children’s nanny, and fled the country, never to be seen again. Berry mesmerizes the reader with the opening pages with one unforgettable image: a women running into a quiet pub, asking for help. A DOUBLE LIFE imagines a life lived in the shadow of such a crime. Just eight years old on the night of her father’s alleged attack, Claire is now a doctor in London. Determined to learn what really happened that night, she immerses herself in his abandoned life, doing whatever it takes to get close to the rich, titled families she believes helped him escape—just maybe, close enough to finally find him. As in Under the Harrow, here again Berry “takes some of the big social struggles that have animated the feminist movement and makes them specific and personal, exploring the rippling effects of power imbalances across individual lives” (The Atlantic). A DOUBLE LIFE resonates with our current moment in its exploration of class and privilege, violence against women, and attempts to discredit and control women who speak out against it.

He Gave His Life

Listen to "He Gave His Life" on Spreaker. Freeing your thought process from the drama drawn up everyday on the forefront of news events and all things political. I find it strange that so many normal people are looking deeply into their personal journeys and realizing an evolution of change is underway. In the past couple of years many of my friends have traded their careers in for a different walk in life. Most openly admit the stress wasn't worth the pay. Pats on the back mean nothing in 2018. Staring at those new walls of challenge aren't meant for every child carrying dreams. We'd all love to live happily ever after. To leap onto that path requires what? The inner battles caused by the effects of an evolution of change opens the mind body and soul to areas that are more of an assumption then the actual experience. When facing the mountains, the storms and the jagged edges caught between the glimpses of yesterday becoming today, where do you turn to be filled again? The human can be loyally dedicated to determination and passion but if the knots in your stomach can't be untied, where do you turn to be filled again. In this podcast I reach back two years to study the actions and reactions created by the evolution of change and how today the path that which leads to better choices is a greater strength because of decisions made. The image in your mirror isn't who you were a year ago. Not even five. Were we designed to be hit by so many uncontrollable changes? Yes... How then can we win? The power of choice. Winning is always the choice.

Listen to "Matthias Jabs On Tour With The Scorpions In America" on Spreaker. Rick Wilson

Listen to "Rick Wilson Releases Everything Trump Touches Dies" on Spreaker. Republican political campaign strategist, ad maker, columnist, and commentator Rick Wilson brings his dark humor and biting analysis to confront the absurdity of American politics in the Age of Trump. Wilson mercilessly takes down Trump and exposes the damage Trump has done to the country, to the Republican Party Wilson served for decades, and to the conservative movement that has abandoned its principles for the worst president in American history. Wilson is no left-winger; he's a lifelong conservative who delivers his withering critique of Trump from the right. A leader of the Never Trump movement, he takes on his own party to warn them of the political catastrophe Trump has caused and concludes that everyone involved with Trump leaves with their reputation destroyed and their life in tatters. Wilson unblinkingly dismantles Trump's deceptions and the illusions to which his supporters cling. He sheds light on the causes of the Trump phenomenon and identifies the guilty parties who empower and enable Trump in Washington and the news media. With punchy political analysis and pointed observations, he calls out the social conservatives who looked the other way, the race-war dead-enders who hitched a ride with Trump, and the alt-right basement dwellers who worship him. This book is a unique, behind-the-scenes perspective from a political operative and insider who's seen it all and can deftly chronicle the tragicomic Trump story from the early campaign days, through the shock of election night, to the inconceivable train wreck of Trump's first year. In Everything Trump Touches Dies, Rick Wilson "wields as axe dripping with his own party's blood." -Kirkus Reviews "This differs from many Trump books in that Wilson knows where the bodies are buried. Have shovel, will exhume. Expect howls of Republican rage and Democratic delight." -Booklist "Rick Wilson's acid wit is directed at the absurdities, excesses, and hypocrisies of President Trump and the alt-right's deformation of his once-proud Republican Party." -John Avalon, CNN Senior Political Analyst Wilson's thirty years of political experience make him uniquely qualified to provide not only this insightful analysis of the Trump administration but also to offer an optimistic path forward for the GOP, the conservative movement, and the country. A unique combination of insider political analysis, blunt truths, and black humor, Everything Trump Touches Dies is perfect for those on either side of the aisle who need a dose of unvarnished reality, a good laugh, and a return to sanity in American politics.

Gutfeld himself admits, "Wherever I go, I am hit repeatedly by the same question: where can I read your monologues? It should be easy to find these little nuggets of knowledge" - well, now it is. "I've watched every one of Gutfeld's monologues live, and I still can't wait to read them. They're that good." -Tucker Carlson, national television host "Greg Gutfeld's monologues are actually more like dialogues: a funny, smart, sometimes crackpot conversation. I'm still laughing in awe." -Rob Long, writer and executive producer for Cheers "If Mark Twain were alive today, he would be the oldest man in the world-but he was also be, I'm convinced, a Gutfeld fan." -Walter Kirn, New York Timesbestselling author of Up in The Air

Getting Over With Over

Listen to "Getting Over The Over" on Spreaker. The digital platform has changed more than radio, television, newspaper and music. I can walk into a McDonalds and tap my order into a huge screen. I'm doing the work and they charge higher prices. That huge notebook out front has eliminated jobs. Thanks to the success of Amazon, grocery stores, Walmart and Target have made online buying the must do. The digital platform has made our lives so easy! Pull back the lens of the camera and you'll see the unemployment numbers of brilliant minds and hard working people increasing. You won't see this on the news because propaganda is so easy to digest. We all want to live in a thriving country. We don't want bad news and God for bid please keep us free of all things that might invite fear, shame, doubt and guilt. We only want happy! How do you do that when the one skill you thought you mastered is no longer part of the process of success? The digital platform has erased your path from the history books. They sorta kinda taught us this in high school. I remember my economics teacher speaking of the day when all industries will no longer be in need of large numbers of human bodies. How then do you get over the over? How do you move beyond what's over? Too often we thrust ourselves back into the race by accepting lower pay for the same play. I'm far from being the only one in any business that doesn't fight to keep their skills locked in forward motion. Only to be consumed by the reality of over meaning over. Learning to rebuild requires faith, confidence, trust and absolutely no greed. You don't have room for it. I've learned a lot about being over. People that own and or manage businesses want your skills but come up with lame excuses as to why they can't pay for your knowledge and experience. My very good friend Nathan and I spent hours talking about this very subject. With strength he'd say, "You aren't designed to always give away your art. You have value. You have to trust in yourself so that the self you are won't be fed by the idea of being needed. That feeling of others depending on you is a cheap rush and it will destroy you. You need to get paid." Getting over the over. That talent or gift you have will never disappear, only the industry that once paid for HBO and a tank of gas. In this age of too many community schools pouring book taught students into the communities needing cheap labor, the deeply dedicated, loyal and determined need to collaborate and cross pollinate their skills. This is the time to build new empires using the digital platform as a universal language. The reason why most don't try is because being part of the digital platform pays very little if any. Which totally goes against the conversations I had with my friend. We'd rather be over with the over then invest in the possibility of utilizing our gifts on a new platform that requires what we know and not who we know. The new age of quality is to get by with as little as possible. Less has proved its worth. It's more!

Susan Hand Shetterly

Listen to "Susan Hand Shetterly Releases Seaweed Chronicles" on Spreaker. Shetterly is also the author of the essay collection Settled in the Wild and several children’s books. She has received a nonfiction writing grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and two grants from the Maine Arts Commission. Seaweed. You may not realize it, but it’s almost impossible to go through a day without encountering it, whether it’s on your favorite sushi roll, hiding in your cosmetics, or incorporated into your vitamin supplement. But beyond that, seaweed is utterly essential to our world. It produces much of the oxygen we breathe, forms the basis of all marine life, and serves as the linchpin for coastal communities across the globe. With lyrical prose, acclaimed nature writer Susan Hand Shetterly plumbs the depths of the most overlooked yet ubiquitous species on earth in Seaweed Chronicles: A World at the Water’s Edge (publication date: August 7, 2018; $24.95). Beginning in her native Maine, then expanding to Canada, Wales, Japan, the Philippines, and beyond, Shetterly pulls back the curtain on the hidden world of seaweed. Through her own research and through interviews with marine biologists, conservationists, aquaculturists, and others, she offers a look into the extraordinary life cycle of seaweed, teaching readers about its role in local environments and its interconnected global significance. Shetterly also introduces us to the people and communities that depend on seaweed—and how they are working to protect this critical natural resource. As traditional hand harvesting gives way to industrialized methods, and as chefs, scientists, and businesses recognize seaweed’s wide-ranging applications, Shetterly examines the big questions of conservation that have come to light. “What must remain wild for the health of the planet, and what can we responsibly take, as we face climate change and diminishing natural resources?” she asks. “It’s the struggle between protection and use that goes on everywhere in the world.” Shetterly is the author of the essay collection Settled in the Wild and several children’s books. She has received a nonfiction writing grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and two grants from the Maine Arts Commission. In Seaweed Chronicles, fans of The Soul of an Octopus and The Hidden Life of Trees will see the wonders of the natural world anew through Shetterly’s richly informative yet elegant storytelling. I hope you’ll find this vital resource as surprising and worthy of conservation as I do, and will share this book widely with your audience.

I Am Because He Made Me His I Am

Listen to "I Am Because He Made Me His I Am" on Spreaker. Creative people are brilliant pieces of art. I can spend hours tapping into their source of thoughts. I find great joy in being with a creative person when discovery enters their way of walking. I am also brave enough to be open with their hearts which have been stained by voices that endlessly tell them how much of a failure they are. A creative person hears a lot of stuff everyday. Not just from those invisible beasts but the outside circles filled with friends, family, coworkers and bosses. "Just get over it." "What do you have to be depressed about?" "Have you seen a doctor? There's a lot of new meds on the market." No matter what you should always seek professional help. The answer though isn't going to be found in the pill. A creative person lays awake at night hoping to have enough energy at work to process their way through progress. A creative mind searches every song played on the radio for hidden messages that will motivate their ambition and delivery. A creative mind hits more walls than a NASCAR race in the center of summer. The creative mind needs to know these two words, "I am." Not "I will be. I'm gonna be or I'm supposed to be." You need to tell your inner core, "I am." On this podcast I am extremely transparent in telling the story of those two words and how you can activate the choices you make. I talk about my conversation with music legend Wayne Kramer who has turned his I Am into a mind blowing situation of great human growth. I am... Don't just practice it. Live it.

Wayne Kramer

Listen to "Wayne Kramer Releases The Hard Stuff" on Spreaker. In January 1969, before the world heard a note of their music, The MC5 was on the cover of Rolling Stone. The missing link between free jazz and punk rock, they were raw, primal, and, when things were clicking, absolutely unstoppable. Led by legendary guitarist Wayne Kramer, The MC5 was a reflection of the times: exciting, sexy, violent, chaotic, and out of control, all but assuring their time in the spotlight would be short-lived. They toured the country, played with music legends, and had a rabid following, their music acting as the soundtrack to the blue collar youth movement springing up across the nation. Kramer wanted to redefine what a rock 'n' roll group was capable of, and there was power in reaching for that, but it was also a recipe for disaster, both personally and professionally. The band recorded three major label albums but, by 1972, it was all over. Kramer's story is (literally) a revolutionary one, but it's also the deeply personal struggle of an addict and an artist, a rebel with a great tale to tell. The '60s were not all peace and love, but Kramer shows that peace and love can be born out of turbulence and unrest. From the glory days of Detroit to the junk-sick streets of the East Village, from Key West to Nashville and sunny L.A., in and out of prison and on and off of drugs, his is the classic journeyman narrative, but with a twist: he's here to remind us that revolution is always an option. "Wayne Kramer's story is an incredible tale of rock 'n' roll redemption. The MC5 crystallized the '60s counterculture movement at its most volatile and basically invented punk rock music. But Wayne's life proved to be as chaotic as his groundbreaking guitar playing. Rogue, rascal, rebel, revolutionary, artist, addict, inmate, poet, prisoner, and now proud papa, Brother Wayne Kramer is one of the wisest people I know, and he has earned that wisdom the hard way. The world needs to know this man's story. Here it is."--Tom Morello, guitarist of Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, and Prophets of Rage
