Permission

Listen to "Permission" on Spreaker. I strongly believe we were all born to write. It's through our daily experiences we have the opportunity to help open hearts, imaginations and dreams. When I'm invited to speak at churches, schools and businesses. It's a gift to receive the opportunity to share the ins and outs of what's required to push down the walls keeping you from realizing your dreams. Winning is a choice. Creating a path of positive decisions isn't the answer. It's the experience that brings down the mountain. I recently sat with a creative minded person whose eyes were flooded with what she thought was sadness from her heart. I told her, "That's not sadness or fear. You are crying real tears because after all these years you've finally given yourself permission to set free your creativity. This is a day of celebration."

The Silent Watcher

Listen to "The Silent Watcher" on Spreaker. If you study the pattern of the animal. So many of their characteristics can be used as valuable tools on our personal journeys growing forward. The silent watcher is the wolf. From beneath the tree and next to the underbrush the wolf determines nothing until all sides of the puzzle are laid out. Which is totally unlike the human. We're locked on winning the war. Quick to defend or point fingers. Yet if we sat unseen a moment or two longer. The situation would grow into a physical moment of peace. Who is the silent watcher in your life. You are! I keep a writing instrument and paper with me at all times. There's not a person on the planet that's going to take your side in faith. Except you. Be open. Be honest. Be aware. Be watchful. You will learn more on that sheet of paper than trying to patch up a fight that should've been a flight.

Greg Morton

Listen to "Greg Morton Live At The Neighborhood Panera" on Spreaker. I've always loved sharing incredible conversation at the neighborhood Panera Bread. The moment I heard Greg Morton was coming to Charlotte's Comedy Zone I wanted to hear his authentic laughter ring through that building. But it had to be at 8 in the morning and the weather had to be pretty cold. Today was the day. Greg proved again how brilliantly gifted his comedy truly is. Right there in front of a restaurant flowing with morning commuters, a homeless man and one police officer. Greg unleashed his comedy and set it free. I kept thinking, "There's no better way to celebrate Christmas then laughing with Greg Morton!!!!

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter 53

Listen to "The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 53" on Spreaker. We allow ourselves to grow in spiritual flow. Then instantly begin looking for the presence of God. When we don't see the evidence of the Great Creator. Doubt becomes the path maker. Without warning we question. Who? Where? Why? But rarely do we as "How?" Because we know how we got here. Having the physical being of Christ sitting in your full view doesn't guarantee you'd see the footsteps that led him there. We've allowed our visions to be clouded over by digital devices and dreams so big that the design of our journey is set to automatic. How can we break free? I took on that question while sitting in front of a wall of trees.

I Am The Teacher

Listen to "I Am A Teacher" on Spreaker. I've always been drawn to words written during times long forgotten. The impact of where we once stood still has strength in our act of forward motion. I came across a line that lays it on the line, "I can't sit in a church every Sunday and not want to try on a pair of shoes." Basically meaning. We are given lessons every day. But we choose to sit outside the circles of the decisions makers. Only to complain about their reasons with another circle created on the weekend. We do a lot during our every moment. But how much of that a lot do you use as the gifted experience? To teach it. Not preach it. With so much change. Can we ever regain control?

Anne Marie

Listen to "rBeatz Music Update Anne Marie Going Solo" on Spreaker. Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Quinn Stephanie and even Fergie. They've all been members of a band before going solo. Making the move for Anne Marie put her storytelling by way of music on the forefront of the performance. But being there alone on stage was the unexpected. Her latest song on rBeatz Radio is Alarm.

Galantis

It’s almost as if the sleigh is leading her to all the right pieces she needs to make the parade a success, including meeting a handsome man from town who has the loving touch to restore the relic. One Big Love On Campus

Listen to "One Big Love On Campus" on Spreaker. I get the incredible opportunity to lecture on multiple campuses. The art of capturing not an interview but an incredible conversation. Last night One Big Love stood in front of a long list of tomorrows broadcasters with nothing more than a great attitude and a guitar. This feature is extremely raw and has some loud crashes. But the story One Big Love shares is priceless as they continue to grow forward with their successes.

Trust The Glow

Listen to "Trust The Glow" on Spreaker. When did ego become the reason for people to begin a conversation? When the circles we keep can't justify what or why it is that things are changing. The first step is to test patience. A friend said to me, "Ok so today is the day you've decided to feed your ego." I laugh at that stuff. Ego hasn't gotten me here. Hands on experience and the understanding of turning failure into a better path of choices has. Learning to study the glow of the ashes is the true teacher. Look at the firefighters teaming up to battle flames in the south. The fire was the subject but the true source of the energy laid within the smoldering ashes. You have the passion to put forth the effort to locate tremendous amounts of success. But you've let the comments of friends and family to put out your fire. Guess what! I still see your smoldering ashes. It needs only a whisper to reignite your journey of winning.

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter 52

Listen to "The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 52" on Spreaker. I sit in a forest watching the evolution of a leaf. From its Springtime bud to being whisked away by the wind on a cold Carolina Fall day. I don't think that's end of the story. Like your personal life. We all endure daily changes. But too often we think that once the leaves are left to be blown away by man made machines and or storms we couldn't predict that it's completely ok to walk forward. Not so... in each leaf we drop there's a lyric to your story. We know where we are. But how many of us know how we got here? Think about it. It's December 2016. Time is moving so quickly. Wasn't yesterday that moment where we feared Y2K? September 11th seems so long ago. They are leaves. If we are trained to live in the moment. You need the seeds of process to keep your roots strong. Where do the leaves go after winter has buried them under the snow? The forest holds a lot of secrets if you would take the time to study beyond the present.

Pray With Not For

Listen to "Pray With You" on Spreaker. We spend so much time seeking the ingredients of what shall become our "What" What are you doing to be greater today at work? What did it take for you to arrive in this moment? What will you tell your friends and family that will lift them or take their mindset elsewhere? What is keeping you from business success? We face so many "Whats" in one day that our mind body and soul have developed an easy escape plan. One of the ways that I face the infamous "What" is knowing "What" people are saying around me. Being a strong Christian I am asked to pray for a lot of people. I used to close my eyes and leap onto the path of prayer. Only to realize those being prayed for offered no energy. Today my "What" is a quick reply, "No I won't pray for you. I will pray with you." I'm amazed at how much of a negative that creates. The one asking for prayers heard me say no. They completely took my open heart of wanting to pray with them and recreated their "What."

Popcorn On A Path Part One

Listen to "Popcorn On A Path Part One" on Spreaker. During every moment I'm gifted with the opportunity to speak. I set up the stage. I share with them that 99.8% of all people have no idea how to ask questions. We've become the lost generation because we choose to accept and not invite a deeper reason to the season. Asking questions is popcorn on a path. You are the person you are because. Do you question your whereabouts today because you didn't question the steps when you took the job? I'm a daily writer. I endlessly ask who what where why when and how? You will never see me shrug my shoulders when asked a question. You may not like my answer. But its better than silence. Learn to ask questions. You are the keeper of the mind body and soul you've been forced to carry around. When you stop asking questions. You sold your soul. Your inner self is begging to be heard. Ask questions. Or I will and you won't like the answers you give me.

Curt Menefee

Listen to "Curt Menefee Losing Isn't Everything" on Spreaker. Every sports fan recalls with amazing accuracy a pivotal winning moment involving a favorite team or player—Henry Aaron hitting his 715th home run to pass Babe Ruth; Christian Laettner’s famous buzzer beating shot in the NCAA tournament for Duke. Yet rarely does the focus on the losing side of these moments extend beyond the post-game interview—lost are the stories of the people who experienced not the thrill of victory but the agony of defeat. For decades, the brightest moments in sports history have been written by the victors—until now. In LOSING ISN’T EVERYTHING (Dey Street Books; Hardcover; On Sale: 11/1/2016), famed sportscaster and FOX NFL Sunday host Curt Menefee, joined by bestselling writer Michael Arkush, examines some of the most pivotal moments in sports history and turns them on their heads. Interviewing the subject at the heart of each loss, Menefee uncovers what it means—months, years, or decades later—to be associated with failure. Full of never before told stories from the losing locker rooms, including why Rodney Harrison thinks that failing to block David Tyree’s infamous “Helmet Catch” in the 2007 Super Bowl ultimately helped him thrive in broadcasting; Craig Ehlo on how his upbringing affected his ability to handle forever being regarded as “that guy who gave up ‘The Shot’ to Jordan” in the NBA Finals; how the Red Sox loss in the 1986 World Series might not have been all Bill Buckner’s fault; Pete Carroll’s answer to the barrage of criticism for deciding to throw the ball in the final moments of Super Bowl XLIX against the Patriots; and many more, LOSING ISN'T EVERYTHING gives voice to over a dozen key voices across all sports. With unprecedented access to the players involved, Menefee reveals stories spanning substance abuse, career derailment, strained relationships, hope, success, and profound growth. Far more than a sports book, LOSING ISN'T EVERYTHING is at its heart a case study in human resilience and a unique lens through which to examine these iconic moments, offering invaluable lessons about overcoming adversity that can help us look at our lives and ourselves in a profound new way.

No Belts For The Spiritual

Listen to "No Belts For The Spiritual" on Spreaker. I've mentioned to people several times that my martial artist path woke up one day and suddenly heard a calling. It had nothing to do with punches, blocks or kicking. I was heading deeper into the community by way of spirituality. The history of Tae Kwon Do puts a young man in a place of study. He offered monks the opportunity to better their bodies if they would better his mind. But in most martial arts the step toward a deeper more spiritual travel isn't recognized. Too often the only trail to take is departure. Religion is no different. Through challenge we usually discover. Once change sets in. Rarely do we locate the courage to dig deeper. Returning to the old habits instead.

Cyndi Lauper

Listen to "rBeatz Music Update Cyndi Laupers Collaborations In Nashville" on Spreaker. I don't interview anyone. I search for the story beyond the story. Cyndi Lauper working side by side with Vince Gill in Nashville. Iconic goes out the window while in the studio with a different genre of sound. Even her first moment with Willie Nelson at Live Aid still hangs out with her memory. Being backstage was the craziest for this girl who just wanted to have fun. The idea of putting paint in her hair didn't have a smooth end result.

Sia

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter 51

Listen to "The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 51" on Spreaker. The words written while in the forest: Dreams are like clouds. They fade. Dreams bring rain. Dreams can be the elegance of a sunrise and sunset. But at whose risk does the potential rest upon? Now lets talk about it. A guarantee we carry everyday is the opportunity to dream. Some are lucky enough to collect a fair share of awesome stories. While others lean hard on the trips and stumbles. I once wrote a song that featured the lyrics, "The pictures we paint are only dreams." Basically meaning the purpose of a dream is to see beyond reality. It's when we turn the bad or lost dream into a moment of reality that we lose control of the moment. And without thought we are guided back to the path by the creator holding the paint brush.

Jillian Michaels

Listen to "Jillian Michaels Yeah Baby" on Spreaker. Not just a book for women who are already pregnant, YEAH BABY! is a must-read for anyone thinking about getting pregnant—now or in the future. Jillian encourages women to adopt lifestyle habits and make choices that will help them when they’re ready to conceive. She also advises going to your doctor before you begin trying in order to address any issues that may impact conception so that you don’t waste valuable time trying to conceive. Jillian and Heidi found out that Heidi had uterine polyps, preventing her ability to conceive without medical assistance. Jillian writes: “Had we been a typical heterosexual couple, we likely would have tried to get pregnant for two years before discovering something was wrong.” YEAH BABY! is also for women who have been pregnant. They are sure to find new and useful information to help them enjoy their best pregnancy and grow their healthiest child. YOUR DOCTOR MAY BE AWESOME AT DELIVERING BABIES BUT MAY NOT BE UP TO SPEED ON THE LATEST IMPORTANT LIFESTYLE INFO. In our culture, many doctors are not entirely savvy when it comes to the more holistic approach to pregnancy. They don’t know a lot about nutrition or exercise science, either. They’ll definitely tell you to cut caffeine and alcohol. They might say to eat a protein-rich diet and make sure to get plenty of fruits, veggies, and whole grains. But some of them won’t even go that far and will tell you that it doesn’t matter that much what you eat, as long as you aren’t smoking and doing tequila shots. Most will recommend prenatal vitamins and possibly omega3’s, but they won’t tell you which ones or what the differences are between brands and compositions. Jillian shares her own story of how their doctor recommended a prenatal with undecipherable ingredients, including red dye! She writes: “Our doctors are great at many things—but staying up to date on the latest nutritional or environmental science findings is not always a top priority. They are too busy handling the day-to-day emergencies—and delivering babies. It’s pretty amazing how much some doctors know, but it’s also amazing what they don’t know, which is one of the reasons why it’s so important to choose a good one to help you through the pregnancy process.”

In TRUE FAITH AND ALLEGIANCE, as deadly events involving American military and intelligence personnel around the globe happen, it becomes clear that there has been some kind of massive information breach and that a wide array of America’s most dangerous enemies have made a weapon of the stolen data as it changes hands from Romanian hackers to the Chinese government. With U.S. intelligence agencies potentially compromised, it’s up to John Clark and the rest of The Campus to track the leak to its source. Their investigation uncovers an unholy threat that has wormed its way into the heart of our nation, a danger that has set a clock ticking and can be stopped by only one man: President Jack Ryan. But President Ryan is going to have to make some tough choices – and may have to put his own flesh and blood in the firing line in order to stop America’s most dangerous foes. The newest installment in Tom Clancy’s immensely popular Jack Ryan series, TRUE FAITH AND ALLEGIANCE by Mark Greaney is a taut, action-packed, spellbinding tale of international intrigue and suspense that could have been ripped from tomorrow’s headlines. ABOUT THE AUTHORS: Thirty years ago Tom Clancy was a Maryland insurance broker with a passion for naval history. Years before, he had been an English major at Baltimore’s Loyola College and had always dreamed of writing a novel. His first effort, The Hunt for Red October, sold briskly as a result of rave reviews, then catapulted onto the New York Times bestseller list after President Reagan pronounced it “the perfect yarn.” From that day forward, Clancy established himself as an undisputed master at blending exceptional realism and authenticity, intricate plotting, and razor-sharp suspense. He passed away in October 2013. Mark Greaney has a degree in international relations and political science. He is the author of Commander in Chief, Full Force and Effect, and Support and Defend. With Tom Clancy he coauthored Locked On, Threat Vector, and Command Authority. He has written five books in his own Gray Man series: The Gray Man, On Target, Ballistic, Dead Eye, and Back Blast.
