I Sit Here Waiting

Listen to "I Sit Here Waiting" on Spreaker. March 9, 2022 Spent some time with actor Skylan Brooks this morning. He’s presently starring the new movie Outsiders. Got on the subject of writing and how the impact of what hits the page has energy in it long after it was released. It may come with a different interpretation but it’s still a seed for your present place in the Now. In 1986 I penned out these words I sit here waiting. Waiting for a dream. It used to be you and me. Till you kept stealing. The song was recorded not once but twice. Each time carrying a different vibe. In 1986 it was about a 24 year old male dealing with abortion. When it was met again in 2013 it was the same man but at 41 dealing with a career that had kept stealing. The song could easily go through another evolution here in 2022. The same man at 60 looking at life and how he kept stealing from it. The words tapped onto the screen of your social media connection should be revisited. Your reaction several years after posting will be totally unique and different. If you don’t want to write in journals, give yourself permission to speak your thoughts into an app that turns vocals into written words. Music legend Don McLean the creator of American Pie talked about how he uses that digital device more as a writing tool then a place where you talk to others. Now more than ever your experiences with this modern world are needed in 2105. Your thoughts are energy that’s moved through you. They don’t belong to you. I sit here waiting. Waiting for a dream. It used to be you and me. Till you kept stealing.

The Daily Mess: The Vow

Listen to "The Daily Mess The Vow" on Spreaker. March 8, 2022 Tapping into the energy. The universe around you is incredibly giving. But how can you turn a Red Bull heavily caffeinated coffee morning into a series of natural connections? Not just today but every day! I’ve created the vow. To physically enact. To be present. To no longer whitewash the self-generated pits that are too easy to sink within. Becoming aware. Staying aware. Mindfulness. Remaining true. Unloading transparency. Making it real without damaging the walls of stability. The vow. Learning who you are without breaking in two. The eyes in the mirror can’t speak. While staring back you only assume. It’s become amazingly clear that it’s perfectly ok to speak openly about what’s growing in the way we think. The vow comes with a challenge. Faithfulness. How long does it last during the daily storms? If you can’t trust yourself how can the outside steer clear of the painted face? The mask. The hider. The wanderer in you must be kept away from being a chaser and or follower. The vow. To lead. But not in circles. To protect. To be accountable. To teach. The vow.

Stream Thinking Peacefully Talking Forward

Listen to "Stream Thinking Peacefully Talking Forward" on Spreaker. March 7, 2022 Are we talking too much? Just because I’m a daily writer and podcaster doesn’t mean I find great joy in talking. I’d rather say nothing. It’s who I am! I was that kid in Montana that didn’t want to leave his bedroom. I always sat in back seat on the bus doing all I could to find the furthest seat in the classroom. What makes this abnormal are the forty three years I’ve invested in broadcasting. The medium has nothing to do with my personality because I keep wondering if we’re talking too much. People have a lot to say. About nothing. Big thoughts without activation. Getting into a conversation means getting wrapped up in other people’s drama. Don’t know about you but the voices in the head are constantly talking and most of the time they’re screaming for us to create a conversation or make some sort of connection. We did the eye glance thing for two years because of Covid. You know what body language does! Oh oh they hate me. What did I do wrong this time? Life is about forward motion as well as emotion. The question isn’t can we please stop talking. Are we talking too much? There’s so much being said about the possibilities of a world war to the price of food, gas and funerals. Our human consumption levels are off the charts. We don’t know who or what to believe. Too much talk. To make matters worse the warranty on your car is up but we can help you locate a solution. Too much talk!

The Daily Mess: Instinct Versus Intuition

Listen to "The Daily Mess Instinct Versus Intuition" on Spreaker. March 4, 2022 Unmasking the hidden ambition. We live in an age where what we want to accomplish still rests within the depths of thought. The mission of importance is to find someplace safe. To not rock to the boat. Chance in a restless world can lead to unsettled harmony. We keep reading about this so called Great Resignation. Men and women 45 to 50 plus walking away from their careers to enjoy life. Sadly, inflation and unheard of gas prices have invaded their private exploration. Did they plan for it? How many more months before they make their way back to the workforce? How long will it take them to catch up? How about these employees that start and stop a job because it doesn’t fit into their expectations? I hear it every day, “I didn’t see eye to eye with what you’re expecting.” The journalists claim the world is offering a lot. Is it? Not for those with specialized skills. Designed to do this while the rest of the planet needs that. The hidden ambition is to at least try! The reality of the moment keeps the dreamer at bay because of that creepy fear of what if it goes wrong? Who would you be if you elected to change? More importantly can you handle another working family? Some can easily make the move. Now toss in the current cost of fuel. How much change do you have in your pocket? There used to be a time when we listened to gut instinct. It helped to prepare for the required steps of expectation. With the way of the world, we’re very lucky to be alive. What if you had been born in Ukraine or your roots were planted in Russia? The daily wakeup call has got to include gratefulness. It has to be the unmasked ambition. At any given moment, even the rich and famous are facing the reality of what if. Instinct and intuition are on high alert three months deep into the year. Is this the time to trust it? Look at what’s taken place with Covid. I ask as a daily writer if you are putting any of journey on paper. Your history is meant for a future reader. Know in your unmasked hidden ambition that a moment becoming a memory is probably a story that will be rewritten.

What Day Is It

Listen to "What Day Is It" on Spreaker. March 3, 2022 Thursday’s are my Monday’s. Monday’s are my Saturday’s. In an interview yesterday I completely got lost as to what day it was. Absolutely embarrassed by the blooper and blunder. Only to learn that millions go through this mental absence hourly. Research shows that Friday’s and Monday’s play a huge role in why we can’t remember what day it is. Whether it’s a positive or negative effect, the mind has a difficult time trying to locate which Friday or Monday you’re closest to. The term is called Temporal Disintegration. A sense of time that is governed by emotions and or experiences. And yes the Covid 19 lockdown has reshaped the way we think about the days of the week. Now toss in the daily mess in Ukraine. The entire planet is biting at the bit to lend a helping hand. The Russian invasion is all over the television, your smart phone and other conversational connections. No day is different. It looks, smells and feels like yesterday and the day before. Temporal Disintegration. I’m a daily writer. First thing every morning! Then I keep a de-frag journal at night. I write to create bread crumbs. There are countless moments where I find it difficult to recognize the subject penned out. I honestly didn’t remember. Temporal Disintegration.

The Daily Mess: Russia's Media Censorship

Listen to "The Daily Mess Russia's Media Censorship" on Spreaker. March 2, 2022: Russia's Media Censorship The big talk today is about Russia’s media censorship. In 2022 we’re hearing about a nation playing with the realms of reality by way of keeping the truth from the people needing it most. Russia’s media censorship. This is an all call for writers, podcasters and other communicators. It’s time to put the word on the streets. But can you do it without shaping an opinion? The world already has enough of those. Getting the story and keeping true to the story without opinion. Putting your voice of truth on a platform designed to help silence false worlds and fears. Keeping your platform locked in on reality and not a point of view depends on where you get the news. Without physically being in Ukraine or Russia you must rely on journalists passing their stories down the digital pipe. Russia’s media censorship can be busted but there must be willing communicators unassociated with big business broadcast companies. Planting your truth on the soil of a foreign country can happen by way of modern technology. No other generation has been this connected to the entire planet. But can you do it without opinion? Just the facts.

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter 284

Listen to "The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 284" on Spreaker. We are trained as children to always look forward. Yet where do most people get attacked? You see the drama on the movie theater screen! You read about it in the newspaper. Through an everyday world we concentrate so much on everything we see that we aren't leaving enough room to learn about what's hiding. Writing in my forest this past October I took note of everything behind the limbs and leaves. Looking through the vines and long tall grass. I brag about being able to listen beyond sound. I challenged myself to do the same with sight. And what I got was a different angle of the rising sun. It came to me on a walk this morning. The first day of March 2022. We trust our backs more than our fronts. We rarely if ever turn around. While in the studio this morning I couldn't remember what's displayed on the wall behind me. I can see this beautiful forest outside the studio windows. I can see my brother and mother's ashes to my left and an acrylic painting I brought to life nearly thirty years ago. But I couldn't identify what's behind me. I took the thought for a test drive during my daily midmorning walk with my dog. My focus was 100% on what was in front of me. I never turned around to see what was moving behind me. That's when I chose to believe that we trust our backs more than our fronts. If we didn't trust it we'd turn around! Being aware of the present means knowing where you are. I spent some time with former CIA agent Ric Padro yesterday. We spoke very deeply about how disconnected people are in the places they stand and walk. Now imagine being in Ukraine where everything's changed. You don't know where the enemy is. Ukrainian's don't know where they're sleeping tonight. Survival means knowing your surroundings. The way you think and participate with conversation plays a huge role in how you're being received and or pushed away. Try driving a car without a rearview mirror. Why not your everyday life and step? By the way. Behind me inside this studio are my martial arts belts from white to 3rd degree. Why couldn't I remember that? We trust our back more than our front. Make the move to change that plan.
