Play It Forward Episode 9
Listen to "Play It Forward Episode 9 Instagram-it, The Teacher And Optimistic" on Spreaker.
Hey it’s Arroe. Welcome to my new podcast series Play It Forward. A look at the unexpected changes endured by entertainers, writers, camera people and all others affected but not infected by the global invasion of the Coronavirus.
The goal is to feature two different types of episodes. The individual conversations as well as a collected array of the entire picture. Real people. Real stories. The struggle to Play It Forward.
Episode Nine: Instagram-it, Optimistic Change and The Teacher
Nick Black’s been heating up the Memphis sound since 2012. A deep in the south solid root of Soul R&B Rock n Roll and the blues. He’s got a brand new single titled Grenadine which he’s been playing on stage for a while. Sadly the Coronavirus has brought the release party to a standstill.
Being held back from the stage and going direct to Instagram and Facebook reaching beyond where Darryl Hall’s live performances with other musicians.
Gene Luen Yang is more than just an author that’s laid out a 400 page comic book about a high school basketball team. He’s also a teacher.
No matter how thick the dark clouds and cloudy the doubt creative people have to push their art forward
Speaking of authors. David Daley doesn’t do comic books. Then again he does write about politics. In this current coronavirus moment he’s gotta stay optimistic.
Will the virus inspire him to write a follow up book to Unrigged
