Play It Forward Episode 7
Listen to "Play It Forward Episode 7 The Hot New Song, Party Planner And Actor" on Spreaker.
Hey it’s Arroe. Welcome to my new podcast series Play It Forward. A look at the unexpected changes endured by entertainers, writers, camera people and all others affected but not infected by the global invasion of the Coronavirus.
The goal is to feature two different types of episodes. The individual conversations as well as a collected array of the entire picture. Modern day journalism with no rules. Real people. Real stories. The struggle to Play It Forward.
Episode Seven: The Hot New Song, The Event Planner And The Actor
Jaki Nelson and Joey Suarez jumped into the new decade anxiously looking forward to the global release of their debut collaboration Never Coming Down. The first month out #16 on the charts and clubs had gravitated toward its rhythm. The threat of Covid 19 changed everything.
SXSW was the first major music festival to pull themselves out of the entertainment game. How does a move like that repaint the stage?
The entertainment community needs to unite but there’s always going to be that feeling of what if?
Moments like this… Is this where great songs are born?
Over the weekend I came across a FaceBook entry from Chef Andrew King who works with CE Rental Charlotte. His post was clear, “For everyone complaining about working at home or having a bad time still employed. Stop this isn’t about you. Andrew and his entire staff of party creators were laid off.
The business side of entertainment. Learning how to play it forward is a new game for Andrew.
We know we are a week into the run. The longer this goes how hard it will be on our mind body and souls?
Michael Beach has enjoyed a fair share of movie and television success. His latest stories have included If Beale Street Could Talk, Truth Be Told On Apple TV+ and Cherish The Day on OWN. What now?
Creative struggles usually turn into much larger success stories. Being part of this Coronavirus interruption is it buying him enough time to dig deeper into the picture as a writer or someone behind the camera.
That’s Play It Forward I’m Arroe
