John Wesley Chisholm
Listen to "John Wesley Chisholm From The Woodstock Bus On CuriosityStream" on Spreaker.
Mid-August marks the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, the most famous rock concert of all time. In celebration of this milestone, a new documentary film – The Woodstock Bus – attempts to find and restore the lost psychedelic Volkswagen Bus that became a global symbol, not only of the Woodstock event, but the entire Woodstock generation and its quest for peace and love.
The bus, which was called “Light,” may be the most valuable piece of American automotive art ever. The only problem? No one can remember where it is. In The Woodstock Bus, filmmaker John Wesley Chisholm teams up with “Dr. Bob” Hieronimus, the bus’ original artist, in a journey across America’s highways back roads and junk yards to find the lost symbol of a generation, restore and repaint it, and bring it back to Woodstock where it belongs.
John Wesley Chisholm can discuss the new film, the unlikely paths he found himself in his goal to solve this 50-year mystery, and why the iconic bus remains a symbol of enduring hope for a better future. The Woodstock Bus is now available on CuriosityStream, the award-winning documentary streaming and on-demand service from Discovery Communications founder and media visionary John Hendricks.
