Get Out Of The Boat

Listen to "Get Out Of The Boat" on Spreaker. While writing before the sun elected to rise. A thought came to me, "Get out of the boat and walk across the water." What? Why would such an idiotic sentence like that take shape in my daily writing? The more I wrote. The more I began to understand. The water is a metaphor. Get out of yourself and walk through this ever changing nation. But do you have enough trust in God to make it to the shore? Or will you feel the splash of water across your entire presence? I share the story of how I chased being an artist. I love the idea of painting and how it was displayed in galleries. Then one day it was over. Only to realize that's exactly what so many people do with their their religions. They chase it. Get a little too much. Then set it aside because we feel full. Get out of the boat and walk across the water.
