Courtney Harrell
Listen to "Courtney Harrell From NBC's The Voice" on Spreaker.
From 2005-09, Courtney worked as a music teacher for the Boston school district while balancing motherhood. After her contract ended, a producer friend asked for her help to write a song for Chris Brown, sparking her move from Boston to L.A. to become a professional songwriter. Since moving to L.A., Courtney has written for Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Ne-Yo, Brandy, Mary J. Blige, and briefly toured as a background singer for John Legend. Her son is now 18 and it's finally her time to shine.
