Christian stopped singing outside of his church and chose to stay at home instead of attending college when his father tragically died from liver cancer. He instead got a job at Guitar Center and made supporting his mother a priority. Christian eventually went back to college because he knew his dad always wanted him to get a degree. He feels like music is the tool that taught him to cope with the loss of his father.
