However, accomplished guitarist, Erik Findling, is turning this phrase on its head. After Findling founded his band, High Street, as a teen, the group found big success in their hometown of Chicago. The group disbanded after a few of the members left for college, giving Findling the opportunity to go solo for a few years. Now having relocated to the west coast, he has revived High Street with hot talent from Los Angeles. To celebrate the revival of High Street, Findling treated fans to previously unreleased tracks to get them ready for what’s to come. Tracks are available on all major streaming platforms and at www.highstreetrocks.com/listen High Street - named after the street corner where the original band once practiced - is a hard rock, heavily blues-influenced group, featuring Phoebe Collins on lead vocals, Erik Findling on lead guitar, Cole Supple on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Nicholas Metaxas on bass, and Jonathan “JJ” Garwich on drums. After months of auditions, Findling selected new bandmates based not only on their talent, but their love for music and desire to share their talents with the world. Phoebe placed as a finalist three years in a row in the Hampton Beach Talent Competition in New Hampshire, Erik has performed at highly-acclaimed venues across the country and even performed at the official GRAMMYs after party in 2017, and Cole, Nicholas, and JJ spent their childhoods all honing their respective musical expertise. The band is igniting their generation to partake in the most authentic, stripped-down, and honest type of rock and roll there is; all while delivering a fresh spin on classic rock sounds with current pop influences.
