Face To Face

Listen to "Face To Face" on Spreaker. As of late we keep reminding each other of how tough the times are. From the headlines to the uncertainty of quality to the crafty methods of madness that consume our everyday workplace. Then word arrives that Billy Graham's been called home. It sorta hits you. For most in this very noisy generation the face and place creates more of a shrugged shoulder move rather than an oh wow moment. But if you sat down and truly thought about it, you'd see your heart still remembers when you first caught a glimpse of such a committed figure in spiritual and American history. It's not so long forgotten. I penned out in my daily writing this morning "I don't know the man but I know a lot about the man he led millions to." I had a flashback of trying to get through Billy's autobiography. It wasn't a difficult read. I just kept wanting to know more about God then Billy. Over the past twenty four hours I've heard a lot of people mention in their conversations about how much they're going to miss Billy. I'm the odd ball that laid out in words this morning about Billy possibly being disappointed by that missing thing. Especially since his dedication, loyalty and service was to God. If you miss Billy. Then you're missing out on a lot of who and what God is and will be. Billy always said he couldn't wait to get to Heaven. He wanted to be face to face with God. To let him know how grateful he was for leading such a giving life. I never once heard him say "I think I'll miss being on earth." Billy became because God moved through him. How much are you missing by keeping God out?
