Daily Mess: Butts And Thoughts
Listen to "The Daily Mess Butts And Thoughts" on Spreaker.
My father used to say, “You’d forget your butt if it wasn’t attached!” As a child I truly didn’t understand the term because the one thing I didn’t like carrying with me was my butt. Can you imagine how uncomfortable people would be if they were allowed to forget their butt? You know like a credit card or your driver’s license at a grocery store. They’d spend so much time trying to borrow another person’s butt. Only to complain about the size and weight. “Ummm sorry to bother you but can I borrow your butt? I left mine at my uncle’s home twenty miles away.” Or! “You’re not going to believe this but someone has stolen my butt.” I can’t imagine sitting down with a different butt. Then to give it back! “Hey thanks for the help. They didn’t have TP.” So what’s the moral of this story? Don’t leave home without a credit card. Not every business takes Apple Pay. That’s my thought for the day. It doesn’t mean we have to understand it. When we hear a thought in our head it seems to fit. Sounds great! Why hasn’t someone else thought of this? Then something happens while writing it or sharing it out loud. It doesn’t come out the way you thought it. We are the generation that forces thought out. We do it so much and so hard that I’m shocked we don’t have mental hernias. Butts and thoughts. You’d forget your butt if it wasn’t attached and thoughts are lost every fifteen seconds. One you can share. The other? Please don’t. Yet if your thought is an opinion. Yeah, just like a butt. Everyone’s got one.
