Stop The Beaver

Listen to "Stop The Beaver" on Spreaker. I'm celebrating my 24th year of daily writing. So grateful for the trees that sacrificed their roots for me to tap into the invisible voices coming from the head and heart. After all these chapters have I learned anything? Not really. The best move was to remove the microphone from their hands. We all have fear, doubt, shame and guilt. Once those layers begin setting in you're like a tree limb weighed down not by a daily writer but vines from a past you can't change. We can try and rewrite the layout of events but ultimately your heart knows the bigger truth. How do you locate the strength required to bypass the chiseled sounds of a speaker unseen by those that make up your path and yet you hear them clear as a bell. Removing that microphone and putting it back in your hands is a tough journey to create. Meditation seems like a Holy Grail answer until you realize that one minute into the practice your brain is already thinking about things. Grrrr! Talk to your toes. Know how your body speaks to you. Not the voices in the head and heart. The body! While walking with Jazzie the rescue puppy I openly speak my Intentions for the day. Hearing your outer voice say the Intentions wakes up your senses. Create affirmations by listening to the moment. Your body already knows the daily hell you go through. You don't have to remind it. Listen to the body as thoughts are generated. Don't try to be Lennon and McCartney. Be yourself. Gift that self with a giggle or two when jumbled up words actually make sense. Today you are talking to your toes. It opens your path to mind blowing self forgiveness.
