Peace and protection. Drop the microphone I’m out of here! Peace and protection. On April 3, 2021 I scratched into the surface of the journal the experience of waking up to a 29 degree morning blessed with bright white apple blossom leaves on the aging tree. A collection of leaves and limbs that I predicted wouldn’t make it through another winter. While standing beside the tree I asked myself, “Do I hold enough life to watch another seedling grow into a beautiful tree?” It’s because of this old apple tree that I was inspired in 1997 to plant 1,700 white pine, elm, oak and others across this lay of land. Replenishing the soil that the human chosen to build housing on. The land was starving for a little love. If you could see the amazing amount of life that appears each new morning today. All because of two words. Peace and protection. I not only live it. I activate it. Where is your peace and what are you trying to protect? If it’s yourself I’m all in! Peace and protection. Knowing that the cause will always grow into an effect. I’ve learned a lot from this collection of trees. The messages reach way beyond me. But to attain the strength to protect while still remaining in a place of peace requires mindfulness. The awareness of what is and isn’t present. I truly get it when people admit to me how important it is to remain in their past. I spend a lot of time with dreamers wanting their future to be present today. I get it. I don’t judge it. Peace and protection. Both are bathed in layers of excess and the daily goal is to maintain the perfect mental diet. Identify what requires your peace and protection. Wait! Suddenly it’s no longer about you. You mean, the peace and protection has to be offered to all who come around you? If your outside world is locked in on unrest how do you expect to walk with peace and protection? Plant those seeds and live by the lay of the land. In time you’ll be a blossom providing amazing fruit.
