Ok with Ok
Listen to "Ok Wth Ok" on Spreaker.
Last night was the first time my wife and I didn't force ourselves to stay up and or out of the house til the stroke of midnight. I knew in my heart that for the next 365 days 2018 would be part of it. Millions hit the clubs and specialized countdowns to participate with a moment. Then we go home and wonder why we spent so much time trying to get to that moment only to have an itty bitty payoff. I think it's because we are addicted to "New" Anything and everything with "New" attached has to be part of our process of the present moving forward. While daily writing this morning it hit me "What if in 2018 we became ok with being ok?" The latest Star Wars movie is proof of how we don't care about quality just give me new. I've talked with more people that went back to the movie theater to see it again because something was missing from the film the first time. Yeah our hopes were too high. How could this happen? Everything new is supposed to be the new experience. It's almost like that new Seth McFarlane show Orville. It took me over half the season to finally say "Wait a second. This show truly isn't as bad as I thought." I went into it expecting Seth Famiy Guy McFarlane. Lets be ok with being ok. Getting "New" costs money. Especially if you just joined a gym that you'll be part of for about two months then stop. You need better attention then that. Build your support team first. Those who know you want changes and the challenges you'll face. Most people quit because family and friends make you feel guilty that they couldn't change with you. Lets be ok with being ok. That doesn't mean quality suffers. I still want the best. But I won't buy into "New" until the time is right.
