She then authored the best-selling book 'The Ghost Photographer' which chronicles her journey into the spirit realm. When asked why she spent three years writing her book, she passionately states, "I wrote the book because I wanted others who have had supernatural encounters to experience the validation and freedom of knowing they are not alone. I wrote it for all of us, both young and old, so we know we can find our power in the most unexpected places and unexpected ways. I wrote it because once we open ourselves to something different, even just a little opening, life can be magical. I wrote it because that magic can pass you by if you're not paying attention. And when you do pay attention, it might even save your life."
The Outlaws
Listen to "Henry Paul from the Outlaws Release The Album Dixie Highway" on Spreaker.
The Dixie Highway originally connected Chicago to Miami – the first vital thoroughfare between the Midwest and the South – before eventually being replaced in the late 1920s by the U.S. Highway system. And while fragments of the original road still exist in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Ohio, it remains a route that carries echoes of its past as well as being an enduring symbol of American discovery, fortitude and pride. And on their new album Dixie Highway, Southern Rock icons The Outlaws take fans on what is literally and figuratively the ride of a lifetime.
And the album’s first single, Southern Rock Will Never Die’, salutes fallen comrades that include Skynyrd’s Ronnie Van Zant and Steve Gaines, Tucker’s Toy and Tommy Caldwell, Duane and Greg Allman, and The CDB’s ‘Taz’ DiGregorio and Tommy ‘TC’ Crain, as well as Outlaws’ co-founders Billy Jones, Frank O’Keefe and Hughie Thomasson. “It echoes the spirit of these founders of this genre,” says Henry Paul. “The energy that motivated all of us back then is still inspiring us now.” The song can be listened to here: https://youtu.be/-siz6s2MM9s
For more than 45 years, the Outlaws have flown the Southern Rock banner like no other band in the land. Known for their unique triple-guitar rock attack and three-part country harmonies, the Tampa-born group’s first three albums on Arista – featuring hits like ‘There Goes Another Love Song’, ‘Green Grass & High Tides’, ‘Knoxville Girl’ and ‘Freeborn Man’ – became Southern Rock milestones, while relentless tours with peers like The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Marshall Tucker Band and The Charlie Daniels Band – as well as performing alongside The Who, Eagles and The Rolling Stones – solidified the reputation of ‘The Florida Guitar Army’ as genre legends.
And since the release of their 2012 comeback album It’s About Pride and acclaimed 2016 double album Legacy Live, the Outlaws – led by Henry Paul and co-founder/drummer Monte Yoho along with Randy Threet (bass, vocals), Steve Grisham (guitars, vocals), Dave Robbins (keyboards, vocals), Dale Oliver (guitars, vocals), Jaran Sorenson (drums) and guest guitarist Billy Crain – have not only re-emerged as what fans call ‘Southern Rock’s Last Band Standing’, but as a dedicated band of brothers who still write, play and perform with the skill, grit and fire of acts a fraction of their age.
With the release of Dixie Highway, the Outlaws once again blaze a route that is as familiar to the faithful as it is unflinching in its mission. “I want the fans to see the band’s growth, to recognize the quality of the music,” says Henry Paul. “It’s focused on where we come from, where we’re headed and how much fun we’re still having on the ride.” And from the state-of-the-art production to its throwback double-album gatefold vinyl, Dixie Highway remains a route whose legacy has a sound and spirit all its own. “We wrote and recorded this album to reinforce the notion that the Outlaws still matter,” Henry Paul says, “and that Southern Rock will always matter. It’s a message we’re proud to bring into the 21st century.”
Pod-Crashing Episode 46 The Forecast

Pod-Crashing Episode 46 The Forecast
In a letter to a business requesting information about my podcast, I forecasted that by 2022 big companies would have their own podcasting departments. Not for entertainment but for content and connection. A valuable resource to help lift company websites and email blasts. To use the podcast as the tool but done so in a way to doesn’t push people away. That means hiring a professional. Someone with experience. Who doesn’t just talk about it but lives it.
That’s exactly what my vision was in 2012 at the start of this podcast adventure. I had been a production and image director since the early 90’s and literally jolted with excitement when Chevy announced that their new cars would feature Wi-Fi capability.
Having that power would give listeners even more choices. Why would I fork out money for satellite radio or wait for terrestrial radio to play my favorite song when Listening on the Demand was about to be introduced?
The problem for me wasn’t going to be locating podcasts to bring into my car but rather trying to generate the space to host an outlet for clients, sales and service. Yep. I went with the people linked to the green.
I mean come on! Here was this new platform that gave companies more than a 30 or 60 second commercial! They could take more time to physically talk about their product without sounding like they’re selling something.
I couldn’t get one radio sale person to budge. I mean they’d sit and listen to my passion to get to this next path. But I couldn’t latch onto a support group. I was a sick puppy.
This was a new way to say, “We are one of you.” Without pushing that you’re family owned and operated, been business 89 years, buy now and get two free and hey trust us!
I didn’t want that. Cuz I know podcast listeners are smart. They can sniff out a fake conversation the second it starts. Their next move is to hit the next exit.
I needed to do some research. I started with talking to any artist willing to leap onto what pretty much looked like a hobby. I knew they had a product to sell. Music, books, movies. I got it. Sell your product here without sounding like it. Oh I know! I’ll get a bunch of famous people interviews then invite advertisers to bring their message on board. Two birds! One stone!
My interviews weren’t about the history of the guest. Anyone can Google that. I needed to show interest in where they presently stood. I believe that’s where advertisers make their connection. They know the product. Listeners will purchase it based on how confident the conversation is without saying buy buy buy.
This is the very reason why I created the podcast On The Corner Of Walk And Don’t Walk. I was talking with everyone. A man on a mission. I needed to learn how to develop at atmosphere where any demographic could be tap into.
This podcast features episodes with doctors from The Mayo Clinic, Home Depot, auto factories such as Ford and Chevy, Bumble, Etsy and more.
Eight years into this formatic foundation clients now hire me to help them not only build their podcast platform but to execute it by way of social media. Making videos isn’t enough. Which makes me laugh because making a podcast isn’t enough. Developing a relationship with advertisers and companies isn’t about buying on a mentioned episode. I bring podcasts to life by putting the listener in the front seat with the client. And then it happens. A conversation is born. In a digital way. But it’s there!
Companies hosting their own podcasts is an experience their present and future clients can participate with. Inviting experts to the microphone. Bring real people who’ve purchased the product to the studio. Talk with those who haven’t tried the product out. The playing field is wide open.
A connected business will become seven to fourteen minute episodes released twice a week or more. A brilliant way to reach a listening audience that probably had no clue your company existed.
Don’t treat your business podcast like a daytime talk show. One subject at a time shared in a story format. Always forward motion. No fancy show open. No special effects. One on one conversations created to keep the attention of him or her tuning in. By not taking advantage of their time, it’s pretty much an automatic that they’ll listen to another episode.
Post production and delivery are huge stars here. Quality starts step one. In production everything planned, performed and produce comes together as a single story.
If you treat your business podcast like a podcast not only will you get burned out but so will listeners. If there are seven different ways to say a single sentence, the same is true about each individual product. Keep your podcast fresh and always shoot for long term projects. Reaching a top notch conversation doesn’t require an interview process. Set the pace and invite the experience.
So what’s the moral of the story? Most people are convinced the money in podcasting is in the sponsorships. It's how you take your podcasting skills to a company to help them build their fan base. As company podcasts continue to grow so will the need to add another body to the employee roster.
Look at the web. Study the videos. Businesses come with a lot of information that means nothing to millions of consumers. With proper discipline and delivery your podcast episodes will put you out there without sounding like you’re begging for a pot of gold.
Hey The Other Day
Listen to "Hey The Other Day" on Spreaker.
This is a tough one to talk about. My Mother would call this, "The stuff people shouldn't talk about." Yet in this age of more openness and growth it actually might be content enough to generate a connection because it was talked about. I'm a daily writer. 26 years... In the early days it was about freeing the mind body and soul. To rid the system of the weight caused by the everyday. Cuz that's what Julia Cameron said in The Artist Way. Write three pages daily. Put it out there because you don't need to carry it. It became a way of life. She and I have talked about it. We laughed and drew each other into even deeper subjects to talk about. What isn't really talked about is how important writing should be for everybody. It's the dot on the map. You think age makes us remember less? Thank God my memory is still intact but through writing I keep coming across stuff I totally forgot about. It stunts me. I sit down to catch my breath. The ego immediately begins to measure how many miles it is from the moment and or season experienced. Reading about it will it invite it back to this day? That's a choice. On this podcast I read from November 26 2016. From where I presently stand on March 6, 2020 I see the current position but ultimately I can't admit to how I got here. Neither can you. You are here. You know of the different layers and mile makers but due to a complicated world a lot of baby steps have been lost. That's why I daily write. Not because I knew it would lead to this. I was just trying to mentally dump the junk. Only to learn that the future person would wander through the pages and see the baby steps. One at a time. Some forward. Many in every direction but where the origin of the dream was trying to head. But we are here. Ten years from now we might come across this post and think about how and when did all of this suddenly disappear. Don't daily write to brag about life or to try and figure things out. Paint the walls of the page with whatever you feel in the moment. Free form thinking. Then one day you'll look back and take note of the baby steps. Yeah the baby steps.
