Zimmern travels to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where the native perch fish is disappearing from the warming waters of Lake Michigan. In New Jersey, he meets scientists creating the farm of the future where fresh greens are grown inside a converted steel mill instead of farms. Sunday, March 1 from 9-10 p.m. ET: "A Chef's Story" - Zimmern, a former addict who is now 30 years sober, reveals how he found his way from homelessness to recovery through food and cooking. In this moving episode, he focuses on the growing problem of alcohol and addiction in the restaurant business and how it can offer a path forward to those in recovery. Sunday, March 8 from 9-10 p.m. ET: "A Seat at the Table" - To explore why many Americans are excluded from the ballot box, Zimmern embarks on a journey through southern battleground states. To find answers, he shares meals with voting rights activists, meets with reformed felons fighting to have their rights restored and questions the politicians behind voting registration bills. Sunday, March 15 from 9-10 p.m. ET: "The Fresh Food Fail" - Zimmern travels to the heart of the country to explore the state of America's healthcare where the population is eating more processed food than ever before. The episode takes a look at the relationship between food and health in the U.S. "There is no more important time than right now to be telling stories about civics, politics and culture through food," said Andrew Zimmern. "Food, after all, is the love language of our national discourse. Kitchen table civics and food politics have been absent from our dialogue at this level for a long time. I can't wait for the viewers to see an entertaining show that dives deeply into the important issues of our day." Interpreting Before Judgement

Listen to "Interpreting Before Judgement" on Spreaker. I think what makes me a great interviewer is how much little time I spend interpreting the author, chef, musician and actor. I invite the guests to share their journey. To speak openly without having to defend what I might see as the process. I do all I can to keep my path away from judgement. Too often we spend several minutes to hours reading social media posts from one person only to interpret what we think they're moving through. Within seconds the interpretation becomes a judgement. Rarely do we know the story. I have to hear the persons voice. I don't want a text message or email. I'm 99.9% wrong every time because I find no reason to believe in what's been interpreted. This is why I find enormous joy in listening to a long list of preachers. King James isn't the only person to have gone back and interpreted the book. Many of today's spiritual leaders are taking these ancient stories and putting their own twists on it. On any given Sunday the same Bible verses could be talked about and inside each house a different message is shared. I love that stuff! It's two completely different views. As a daily writer I endlessly run into people that interpret the sentences and paragraphs. Then the author is hit by their opinion or observation. Which is really weird because I didn't ask for it. Because of social media we have become the generation that doesn't want to sit down face to face and talk. We find it easier to interpret the story and or experience. As leaders the daily goal should be to reach into the spirit of the vocal delivery and not the silences caused by words left on a page with no beginning middle or end to defend its place. If you read something and it creates question teach yourself to put it in your ears and not your eyes. I love questioning preachers. It removes the interpretation from the structure of growth.

World renowned bass player Kasim Sulton will once again be celebrating his longtime association with the ground breaking progressive rock band Utopia and their legacy by performing a limited number of shows consisting entirely of Utopia music with a full band. The set list will be comprised of songs hand-picked by Sulton, spanning the 10 albums he appears on, including deep cuts as well as many more familiar songs. Sulton joined Utopia in 1976 when the group settled into it's most recognizable quartet of Todd Rundgren (guitar, vocals), Kasim Sulton (bass, vocals), Roger Powell (keyboards, vocals), and Willie Wilcox (drums, vocals). All four band members wrote, sang, produced, and engineered the material on their critically acclaimed albums. Sulton wrote and sang lead on Utopia's biggest hit, "Set Me Free," from their best-selling album Adventures in Utopia (1980), which reached #27 on the Billboard Top 40 charts. "My career began with Utopia," says Sulton. "I can't think of a better way to honor my work with Todd, Roger, and Willie than to do a string of performances that showcase the special and unique music we created together." The tour kicks off Friday, February 28 in Washington D.C. Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Kasim Sulton is recognized and respected the world over as a solo artist, and for his work with other artists including Todd Rundgren and Utopia, Meat Loaf, Joan Jett, Hall & Oates, Richie Sambora, Patti Smith, Patty Smyth, Mick Jagger, Blue Oyster Cult, and Don Felder to name just a few. He has added his esteemed input to a variety of projects, ranging from playing bass, keyboards, and/or guitar, to adding vocal harmonies, singing lead, and contributing as a songwriter, to producing entire albums, as he did with the Meat Loaf VH-1 Storytellers CD, released in 1999. His latest release, Live Bootleg - recorded in 2015 at The Cutting Room in NYC and Hotel Utah in San Francisco - features Kasim Sulton solo material and Utopia songs.
