How Are You Going To Live It

I’m amazed at the number of people that share with me their tragic wake up stories. Dreams from the night before becoming weight in the opening steps of a sun on the rise to feeling clogged up with too many news headlines. So often we look and feel like a badly beaten up weather torn wooden wagon from the 1800’s pushing itself westward to Oregon. On this podcast episode we travel into that area of our subconscious that nobody wants to talk about. We’re too busy trying to look strong. We’ve got this! No pandemic is gonna rip this life to shreds! I shared an incredible conversation with author Margaret Riley Thomson yesterday. While comparing Covid-19 to the Aids epidemic of the 1980’s, she stopped the talk and pointed toward an unspoken different pandemic. Suicide. The numbers are through the roof. Whoa! You didn’t sign up for this talk! I get it. But each of us, on different days, experience shadows entering our hearts. It generates distance. No matter how hard you try to unmask your daily march forward, assumption clogs the head. It’s excess weight for an already heavy moment in your life. Something completely invisible has put a thumbprint on your presence of Now. We don’t want to patiently wait for answers. We require this to be over right here right now. It begins with conversation not confrontation. To speak with not to be spoken to. To be present in all things made available through the physical act of being aware. I’m a daily writer because I know that when words are placed on a page they are being heard. Therefore I’m also a listener. In all things that we do daily your first step should be to always make the attempt. Don’t sit around thinking about doing something. Make the attempt. Put forward motion into your moment. There must always remain a process. It helps you deal with the shadows caused by bad dreams, worry, doubt, guilt and shame. Tell those shadows to walk with you. If you’re gonna hang out with me and make my day bad, get up shadow and participate with the journey. We aren’t gonna sit around and feel like that ugly looking covered wagon from the 1800’s. Create with me shadow! Let’s help others shadow! Cranking up my Classic Rock with the shadow! Your new morning is your first daily gift. Your gift. My gift. We all get the gift. Now the question is… How are you going to live it?
