Belief Versus Feeling
Listen to "Belief Versus Feeling" on Spreaker.
July 6, 2020
Did you happen to catch that morning sunrise? It totally lit me up with positive energy. A place of greeting. A moment of peace. Then being 100% human I had to remind myself of life’s actuality and lack of accountability. The pictures released from the July 4th weekend gatherings at lakes, oceans and political celebrations. We’re about to get hit and the only thing we can do is embrace each other with love, peace and forgiveness. I write out my morning prayers. I want to be able to go back and study the energy that was moving through the moment. Today I penned out, “Let us grow beyond. Let us become part of the elements required to invite peace. To bring peace is an object of consumption. Inviting peace is planting seeds. Growing a harvest. Replenishing it not with greed and the act of taking advantage of. But to train a new generation of farmers to love your soil Almighty God. To maintain its strength. To bring people to the source of energy. Not take, beg or borrow. To lift the hearts of those who follow. To bring forward the future not expect it to fall into place. The rays of light fall upon your place of peace. Let each ray become what shall lead us during these continued times of the unexplained and unfixed.” Pause…………………. Those words were written at 6:14 this morning. It’s now 8:36 am. Then being 100% human I had to remind myself of life’s actuality and lack of accountability. I could easily walk away from this writing today. My father constantly told me about how he was growing tired of teaching his children because it was falling into deaf ears. We can’t become shoulder shrugger’s. On this podcast episode we hit a subject most probably won’t like. The physical act of what you believe versus what you’re feeling. I’m convinced in my soul that these large gatherings aren’t taking place because of what you believe but what you are feeling. You want to feel free. You don’t want to be told what and how to do it. You’re being coaxed to get out. You want to get back to belonging. So what you believe has been set aside to grab a little bit of that good feeling. Over the weekend I posted on Facebook how we’re supremely addicted to excitement. Willing to pay any price to feel that moment of boom boom pow. The neighborhood fireworks are huge. The average price for those sky scrapers were $40 to $150 per rocket. Maybe more! It takes 35 seconds to light it, let it fly then explode. All of that money gone that fast. That’s like buying a $50 steak and you excuse yourself from the table because it’s moving through you quickly. It’s like sharing an evening of romance that lasts 35 seconds. Opening a warm bottle of Coke and 75% explodes freely after it’s been opened. Then being 100% human I had to remind myself of life’s actuality and lack of accountability. The momentary addiction of the modern generation. The way we live is the gateway drug.
