Beautifully Broken is an inspiring true story of hope that follows three fathers. Randy Hartley is the film’s executive producer. He was a successful financial planner near Nashville who appeared to have it all when he first met William Mwizerwa, a Rwandan businessman who lost everything escaping his country during the mass genocide in the 1990s. Mwizerwa lost his parents and most members of his extended family. He spent years fighting to get his wife and children to America. Hartley and Mwizerwa connected immediately at a Cub Scout meeting for their first-grade sons. Mwizerwa was the founder of Legacy Mission Village in Nashville, assisting other refugees integrating into Middle Tennessee. Hartley and his wife had been sponsoring a child from Rwanda, Umuhoza, who was the same age as their middle daughter, Andrea, and also her childhood pen pal.
