Dan Jurgens
Listen to "Dan Jurgens Talks Action Comics 1000" on Spreaker.
In 1938, DC Comics unveiled Action Comics, the comic book that not only introduced the world to the term “superhero,” but also a certain red- and blue-suited alien (better known as Superman) who would become one of the most famous characters in history. Now, 80 years later, DC introduces Action Comics issue #1000, making it the longest-running superhero comic book in history.
Legendary comic book artist and writer Dan Jurgens has worked on nearly every major title ever published by DC or Marvel, and is best known as the writer of “The Death of Superman,” one of the best-selling comics of all time. Dan can discuss the significance of Action Comics #1000, how DC will celebrate this significant milestone, and the huge impact this comic book has had on the worlds of entertainment and pop culture.
