The Letdown
Listen to "The Letdown" on Spreaker.
I'm often called a pessimist. I prepare for the odd ball twists and spins that may or may not lead to a wandering trail of unexpected letdowns. We were born to have them. Otherwise we'd have no problem getting what we want. So instead of being shocked by a letdown. I embrace the potential of there being. Awareness is key. Living in the present allows all things in the now to have an identity. Family, friends, coworkers and bosses tend to let us down maybe two or three times a week. Purchasing a present for someone usually leads to a letdown. Your heart painted a bigger more emotional picture during the time of exchange. My wife has gotten used to looking at me in the eye and saying, "Just say thank you." Sports fans worldwide are letdown day after day. I have a friend that loves to hear the cry of the fan whose team just can't get it together. What does your cry sound like when God doesn't give you what you had planned? Do the banners come off the walls? Do you stop activating relationships? Just a simple question not from a pessimist but a realist. Being aware of the potential of there being a letdown allows you to study the process of where you can quickly pick back up.
