The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter 137
Listen to "The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 137" on Spreaker.
It’s not because I’m into nature but I find it extremely funny to watch humans do all they can to race from gray rainy days. I’m no different! Those types of days mixed in with the winter months of Carolina have a way of reaching the bones. The term cold to the bone is very real. The reason why I find enjoyment from the passing storms is because everything around us will utilize the waters falling from the sky. The soil accepts the changes while feeding the limbs of a tree. I take note of the birds taking baths and even my adopted dog Jazzie takes advantage of whatever is out there. She loves running through the rain, as if to be catching the drops one at a time like professional baseball players. On this podcast I put a lot of focus on personal storms. The type we battle in our heads and hearts. What are we supposed to do when no path leads to a place of warmth and or protection? Through daily writing I’ve learned to stop trying to battle changes and challenges and learn from them. The moment you get comfortable with your decisions and choices faith and trust tend to fall off the wagon. It’s a long way to that horizon we’re chasing. It gets kind of lonely without trust and faith. Learning to listen to the waves of negative teaches your footprints to stand sturdier while your arms are forced to help locate balance. Stop running from the rains of change. Embrace the exchange.

Mark Farner
Listen to "Mark Farner From Grand Funk Railroad" on Spreaker.
What began as a chance of a lifetime for three lifelong Mark
Farner fans, resulted in the newest single from the legendary frontman and
guitarist. After first meeting at a Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp, Farner served as
the group’s counselor and soon struck up a musical bond. Their friendship has
endured. The new single and its accompanying video for “Can’t Stop” holds
nothing back in terms of straight at you guitar riffs and tongue-in-cheek rock and
roll debauchery.
As one of the founding members, lead singer and guitarist, Farner was the
engine that pulled the original Grand Funk Railroad to the top of the charts, and
today he’s a platinum recording artist 30 times over. Farner commands the stage
with the same intensity and outpouring of love as he did during the summer of
’69, and his fans are still flocking to the Captain. The rock patriot’s synergy and
open heart come through in epic hits that defined a generation—“I’m Your
Captain (Closer to Home),” “We’re An American Band,” a recut of “The Loco-
Motion,” and “Some Kind of Wonderful”— and “rock star” is only one facet of this
Michigan-born son’s legacy.
“I dig it. The idea of working with some of my own fans on music that we jointly
construct, made for an interesting project,” Farner said. “I’m always looking for
new and creative ideas in music and I am even more interested in unusual video
ideas that reach a broad base of new and existing fans.”

Mick Box From Uriah Heep
Listen to "Mick Box From Uriah Heep" on Spreaker.
Uriah Heep are releasing their anticipated brand new studio album - the 25th in their storied career - which will be titled, appropriately enough, “Living The Dream”.
"We have been together for 47 years and we have seen many bands come and go, so in effect we are ‘Still Living The Dream,’ so it was the perfect title for the new album,” says Uriah Heep guitarist and founding member Mick Box.
Famed Canadian engineer, Jay Ruston has been called in to produce the album. Mick continues: “We chose Jay because we admire his work with The Winery Dogs, Stone Sour, Black Star Riders, Paul Gilbert, and Europe. Jay has either produced, mixed or both for these bands, and he brought a fresh approach to Heep. He has been marvellous to work with."
The band is beyond excited with the material written for the new album, which will include some epic additions to the band’s huge catalog of rock staples and looks forward to sharing it with their fans around the world.
The album will be released in CD, deluxe edition including one bonus audio track and a DVD, LP and Limited Box Set Edition (including deluxe edition + T-shirt).
Uriah Heep debuted in 1970 with the release of one of hard rock’s milestones, Very 'eavy... Very 'umble, and have since sold in excess of 30 million albums worldwide. They constantly tour the world, playing up to 125 shows a year to 500,000+ fans. The band’s live set features the classic tracks from the '70s and is a musical journey from the band's beginnings to the present day.
The band has announced a full World Tour which will last until the whole first quarter of 2019. "The mighty Heep are proudly able to tour in over 61 countries and we look forward to a packed touring schedule in 2018 and 2019. Touring is in our blood and what we have a passion to do, and so 2018 is no exception,” concludes Box.
Identifying Your Super Power
Listen to "Identifying Your Super Power" on Spreaker.
Marvel and DC aren't the only makers of super heroes. Each of us carry our own super source of energy that reaches beyond the tight circles we keep. Yep I said it. We're all super heroes. Some recognize as well as utilize their inner strength long before others. When the moment begins to take shape there's no greater adventure. On this podcast I dive into the subject of how to recognize what your super power is. It's not going to be huge muscles and flying skills for all. Nor will you zoom away tucked inside an invisible jet or live inside some really far out cities from the future. Your super power might be as simple as teaching students how to read. Locating your super power requires awareness followed by the required discipline to keep yourself strong. Super powers need attention and too often we try to exchange the ability with other accesses to the heart and soul. That's when we nose dive in the desert. We want too much too fast. Super heroes aren't always the good guys. Look at how popular The Joker is. Hate him or not he still has super powers. That's a choice you get to make. How do you use what's been available to you since birth?
Carmine Appice
Listen to "Catching Up with Carmine Appice" on Spreaker.
You’re unlikely to find a phenomenon like Carmine and Vinny Appice a second time in the history of rock music. For more than forty years, the two brothers have been among the most sought-after and renowned rock drummers worldwide. Carmine and Vinny (each of them on their own) can be heard on numerous legendary albums and have toured countless times with some of the world’s greatest acts. Carmine embarked on his musical path in the 1960s with the unforgotten Vanilla Fudge, manning in the course of his illustrious career the drums for superstars such as Rod Stewart and Ozzy Osbourne, among others. His brother Vinny, who is eleven years his junior, looks back on an equally spectacular career, having worked with acts such as Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell and Dio, among others. With the exception of the live album Drum Wars – Live!(2014), there has been no direct collaboration between the two so far. That’s about to change! Sinister is the first joint studio album by Carmine and Vinny and was recorded with the support of a number of prestigious guests. Vinny: “As Ringo said: with a little help from our friends.” The album is scheduled for release on Steamhammer/SPV on 27 October 2017 and marks a long-overdue new development for fans of these two outstanding drummers.
“We never really planned to make an album together until last year. We`ve always had plans to play live together, starting out with drum clinics,” Carmine and Vinny explain how the album came to happen. “We both had very busy schedules and finally found the time to do shows together which led to the idea of making an album.” The result is – as the Appice brothers call it – “a great-sounding, spine-shaking rhythmic foundation, along with big giant melodic guitars from hell, and on top blazing vocals and melodies that will tear it all up!” Sinister features both new songs and classic tracks from their “long history in a crazy music business,” as Vinny says.
Sinister consists of a total of 13 tracks, recorded by Carmine and Vinny together with distinguished colleagues. ´Killing Floor` and ´Future Past` feature the wonderful Craig Goldy (together with bassist Tony Franklin), Franklin resurfacing, together with Paul Shortino, on ´Suddenly` and on ´You Got Me Running`. Shortino also lends his awesome vocals to ´War Cry` and the programmatic ´Monsters And Heroes`, the latter also featuring Bulletboys guitarist Mick Sweda, while Shortino teams up with Whitesnake stringsman Joel Hoekstra on ´War Cry`. Talking of vocals: ´Sinister`, ´Danger` (bass: Phil Soussan), ´In The Night` (guitar: Bumblefoot) and ´Sabbath Mash` (guitar: Erik Turner, keyboards: Erik Norlander) are all sung by Jim Crean, while Chas West recorded the vocal parts for ´Killing Floor`, Scotty Bruce featuring on ´Future Past` and Robin McAuley on ´Riot`. The biggest surprise of all: Carmine himself doubles as vocalist on ´You Got Me Running`. Vinny: “Carmine has been singing lead and background for years. He´s a very good singer and I´m glad he sang one number on this record.”
Sinister was produced by Carmine and Vinny and recorded at different locations. Carmine nailed some of his drums in a studio on the East Coast, Vinny cut most of his parts in his home studio. Both together recorded some songs in Jorgen Carlsson`s (Government Mule) studio in Van Nuys, California. Steve DeAcutis mixed & mastered the album. Vinny: “Steve was able to get a fantastic sound on every instrument while keeping the drums vibrant and sounding great.”
And how can listeners tell the two brothers‘ drum styles apart? Vinny: “We have similar grooves, fills and feels, but we approach things differently. I play heavier, fast and precise. Carmine plays more grooves and has a more melodic style.”
So fans can look forward to a haunting rock album which the Appice brothers plan to premiere live on stage as soon as possible. Carmine: “We cannot wait to take the album on the road! Heavy drums and heavy songs. It will kill!”

Grow With The Energy You Know
Listen to "Grow With The Energy You Know" on Spreaker.
Here we are again. Inches from entering a new year. For many it's always that line in the sand. This year you're going to be different and proud of the adventure. Each of us know ten or more people that have jumped on the long and winding road of change only to see how flat the world truly is. Why not grow with the energy you know? I've been very public with my artist label. That means somewhere on that dusty deserted desert floor I had to come face to face with accepting myself for being just plain ole boring me. On this podcast it gets a little preachy but be open to your own energy and call your source of light whatever you need. Grasping onto the core of your space already taken doesn't mean you've wasted life. Maybe you walked away from things before its proper baking time. Society claims we're supposed to look like, act like and resemble what it paints perfect and in the long run that's where we've wasted a lot of time. That dreamer in you has emptied its goop into so many other people's visions and getting back to you can't be purchased to Amazon. Grow with the energy you know. Stop trying to figure yourself out. You'll be surprised at how much you know and how to protect that huge field with seeds that have been waiting for the farmer to return.
Nick Marechal
Listen to "Nick Marechal Reaching Beyond His California Roots" on Spreaker.
In 1968, Nick Marechal was just another kid in the San Fernando Valley learning to play guitar. Elvis was a hero making a come back. Garage bands were in every neighborhood. FM radio ruled. That period provided inspiration for writing the song “Son of the Blues.” In the early 1970s Nick received lessons from the late great Ted Greene. Nick’s picking style, knowledge of chords, and an appreciation for the American songbook came from Greene. Right after high school Nick played in bar bands. While attending community college he became interested in mathematics and engineering, as well as music. Nick eventually earned a PhD in mathematics from UCLA in 1986. In 1988, Nick became a member of the technical staff at The Aerospace Corporation and retired in 2013 at the rank of distinguished engineer. During that period he authored both journal and conference papers in the fields of imaging radar and lasers. Nick's logo is based on a soundwave which forms his initials "NM".
In the 1990s he performed in a three piece blues rock band Power Spectrum. Later, Nick began recording with the help of session players Mike Finnigan (Hammond B3), Leland Sklar (bass) and John Robinson (drums), and later John Ferraro (drums). “It would be an all star band, if I wasn't in it,” Nick likes to say. In the last few years, Nick was introduced to Grammy®-winning engineer and producer Niko Bolas by a good friend Fred Walecki of West LA Music fame. Niko brought Nick to Capitol Recording Studios and sent Nick to voice builder Gary Catona. That was a lucky break for a guy from the Valley who knows a few theorems and how to bend strings.
In the Fall of 2018, Nick continues honing his skills and recording at both Capitol Studios and East West in Hollywood with a team of legendary professionals; Quinn Johnson on keyboards, Andrew Ford on bass, John Ferraro on drums, Greg Mathieson on B3, and he has recently featured a horn section (arranged by Quinn Johnson) on a couple of the forthcoming tracks.
Make sure you bookmark Nick's Soundcloud account to keep up with all the latest.

Chevel Shepherd From NBC's The Voice
Listen to "Chevel Shepherd Winner Of NBC's The Voice" on Spreaker.
The 16-year-old singer - who has become known for her classic honky-tonk sound and yodeling talents - was crowned the winner of season 15 of The Voice on Tuesday.
Shepherd's win marks the second victory in a row for two-time coach Kelly Clarkson, who won last season with her contestant Brynn Cartelli.
Shepherd beat out Team Blake Shelton's Kirk Jay and Chris Kroeze, and Team Jennifer Hudson's Kennedy Holmes.
While it was Clarkson's second win, she seemed shocked as Shepherd was announced the winner over runner-up Kroeze.
The seasoned musician ran up onto the stage and gave Shepherd a big hug. The 16-year-old vocal powerhouse, while supremely talented, was not the odds-on favorite to take the top spot.
The teen's family, including her grandfather, were overjoyed and also ran up on stage to celebrate.
Holmes took fourth place and Jay was placed third.
Despite the fact that she stands at only 4'10", the New Mexico native has made a name for herself on the show for her big voice. Week after week, she has effortlessly taken on country legends like Loretta Lynn and LeAnn Rimes.
Shepherd has also become known for her unique talent of yodeling. She previously told reporters that she learned how to yodel when she was 11 years old after her mom showed her a video. Soon after that, she fell in love with it and kept on practicing.
"I've been listening to country since I was tiny. You can tell the story of the song to people," the teen said shortly after her big win.
Still coming to terms with her Voice crown, Shepard struggled to put into words just how she is feeling.
"I'm still hyperventilating a little, I feel very blessed," she told reporters.
The star-studded evening featured performances by Kelly Rowland, Rascal Flatts, and the Doobie Brothers. Shepherd was paired up with Dan + Shay to perform a rendition of their current hit "Speechless," and it couldn't have made for a more fun match.
"I rehearsed with them, and they are so nice," Shepherd told PEOPLE on Monday night. "I almost forgot to stop breathing because they're so cool. They're so easy to be around as well. They're kind of just like Kelly, they're their true selves.
Life With All It's Reasons
Listen to "Life With All It's Reasons" on Spreaker.
Because I'm blessed with opportunity to daily write I get to witness more than a fist full of memories. I chose in July of 1994 not to pen out the way of other writers by way of keeping a journal or diary. It was a calling to listen to challenge and change. To learn from the experience then teach continuation. On this podcast I go back to 2016 and read from a moment that comes across as being a bread crumb for a future self headed into a new tomorrow not yet unveiled. While studying the words put on paper something strong hit me. If what we write, think and bring outward in this moment of now is indeed a tool required for a future self, what happens in the messages and notes we keep when there's silence? We can't back to talk to those people and shapes we were during those chapters past. Creative minds know how to reach next week while living on the roots of today. How does it work? Openly during this conversation I talk about how the Dalai Lama trusts the journey of continuation and how each moment we are allowed to grow physically teaches our tomorrow. Mindfully being present in the "Now" invites peace into what's being held by or held down by each of our decisions. I invite you to dig into your boxes filled with notes, poetry and attempts to write music. There are messages there for the future self you became. The questions you keep asking might actually find structure in your today.

Life After Euphoria
Listen to "Life After Euphoria" on Spreaker.
A fellow Broadcaster said to me, "The average person is given only three chances in their lifetime to experience euphoria." He had just accepted a new job on the West coast and didn't want to be sitting around in the South wondering if turning down the position would've kept him from one of the three mind blowing moments. I remembering thinking about the number of creative and talented people who stop challenging themselves to gain access into their higher level of delivery. We've accepted the path to reach only so far, shrug our shoulders then take on a new career. On this podcast I put focus on having faith versus just being lazy or careless. During those younger years the very moment someone denied us access to the potential of a euphoric moment we'd knock them on their butt and shout, "I will succeed!" What happens to that steam? Is it like a riverbed that loses its source of flow and eventually just becomes a piece of land? I still remember looking at that Broadcasting friend and replying, "What is the requirement to know that you're physically experiencing euphoria? What if it's nothing more than a baby step that just happened to gift you with a volume of expression?" Our greatest moments aren't a big bang theory. You're legacy moment might not have anything to do with a career. All that time spent chasing the horizon. Grip faith by the nap of the neck and make it serve you. Knowing you have faith is one thing. Watching it in action is pretty euphoric. Make it a go to tool in 2019 and watch your journey through success reach new levels of interesting play.
Kendall Rose
Listen to "Kendall Rose Releases Stepmoms' Club" on Spreaker.
It can be hard to be the non-biological parent to a child during the holidays. It's common to experience resentment (on your end, and the child's) about where Christmas Eve and Day are spent, competition over who gave the kids the better gift, and jealousy over memories you might not be a part of. Many women are in need of answers and support about how to avoid stress and create happy holiday memories.

The authors of The Stepmoms’ Clubs provide honest, sassy, and inclusive advice for any struggling stepmother, while also offering up strength and courage as fellow stepmothers themselves.

Dean Cain
Listen to "Dean Cain From The Movie Gosnell" on Spreaker.
Based on the true story of Dr. Kermit Gosnell the movie takes audiences behind the scenes of the investigation and trial of the man who has been dubbed the "Biggest Serial Killer in America."
Detective James "Woody" Wood (Dean Cain) and his partner Det. Stark (Alfonzo Rachel) work an informant network to discover which doctor has been selling prescription drugs illegally. But they are not the only ones who've been watching these sales as the FBI & DEA converge on an informant as Woody & Stark take her into custody. She soon gives up the doctor, Kermit Gosnell (Earl Billings).
The FBI, DEA and local Philadelphia police do a joint raid on Dr. Gosnell's clinic. And while they find evidence for the drug sales what they find next no one expected. During their search of the common areas they find baby bodies stored in orange juice containers and bags in the lunchroom refrigerator. These discoveries raise questions on what Dr. Gosnell is doing in this clinic.
Assistant District Attorney Lexi McGuire (Sarah Jane Morris) returns to work following maternity leave and is thrust into the middle of the Gosnell case as it moves from a drug bust into a potential murder case. But taking on this case is a major risk for Lexi as she has ambitions within the Governor's office and losing this case may end her career politically.
As the team seeks to build their case for murder, there are several major questions the team must tackle around the Pennsylvania abortion laws. While its clear to Woody and Lexi the laws have been broken the difficult political ramifications of putting an abortion doctor on trial also come clearly into focus. Lexi will also be facing off against the sharp defense lawyer Michael Cohan (Nick Searcy).
As they head into trial, its unclear how a jury will react to the information as the question of viability of the children found within the clinic will come into play along with ways to interpret the abortion laws. The team led by District Attorney Dan Molinari (Michael Beach) expect intense media scrutiny at the start of the trial. But upon their arrival at the courthouse its clear the media has a biased interest in not covering this story except for one "citizen journalist" Molly Mullaney (Cyrina Fiallo).
As the trial moves forward Cohan makes a believable defense of Dr. Gosnell performing necessary but risky medical service. And while he may have not have run the cleanest or safest clinic these were mistakes and don't add up to murder. Woody knows one of the clinic workers has photos of some of the babies who were found in the raid but needs her to take the stand. But will she?
Grateful Or Being Grateful
Listen to "Grateful Versus Being Grateful" on Spreaker.
Kind of an odd title. It paints the picture of there being something separating the two. Reaching beyond the surface of action and reaction the title is based on how people say they're grateful without truly showcasing their gratefulness. Being grateful is more than a word. It requires participation with why you are in a moment of gratefulness. Sammy Sosa from the Chicago Cubs would touch his heart twice then point to the sky. On this podcast I talk about why I fell out of truly believing that he was being grateful of the catch out in right field or hard rocking home run. I paid to watch him make the move. I didn't want to see it once. I needed to watch him several times during a game. He did again and again. That's when I opened my own heart and wondered how people digested my way of being grateful. Are you grateful or being grateful?

Eric Jay Dolin
Listen to "Eric Jay Dolin Releases Black Flags Blue Waters" on Spreaker.
BLACK FLAGS, BLUE WATERS recounts the rogue seamen who terrorized the shipping routes in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, unnerved the superpowers of the day, and ultimately reflected the brash new nation to come. The book covers the period of the early 1600's to 1726 when pirates pillaged up and down the Eastern seaboard and into the Gulf of Mexico -- from Maine to the Carolina's, to Mississippi and beyond.
Charting the evolving nature of piracy as it ranged across oceans and chased the latest wealth, BLACK FLAGS, BLUE WATERS spotlights the flamboyant figures who—in addition to the better known Captain Kidd, Blackbeard, and Henry Morgan—rode the waves until their often violent and well publicized demises. A gripping and entertaining read, Eric Jay Dolin provides a fresh take on one of history’s most colorful chapters.

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter 136
Listen to "The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 136" on Spreaker.
Trees are my weak spot. The importance of those limbs, trunks and roots keeps me firmly attached to the importance of their place of shape shifting. This year the Fall colors were pretty amazing. While sitting under a huge tree I couldn't help but wonder if a tree can see how incredibly beautiful it is with the rest of the forest. Trees don't have mirrors. Humans do and we love to overuse their ability. Rather than being comfortable with the atmosphere of "Now" the goal is to endlessly embrace newer ways to exchange our changes. When we do that aren't we letting go of multiple pieces of our personality? Seriously! Who would we be if we had left that wrinkle in our face? Where would we be if we hadn't shaved off that excess collection of junk in our hips, stomach and upper regions? This isn't a podcast bashing the beauty makers. Far from it. I'd just like to know where the real person went before man was hired to reconstruct? I'd never purchase a Picasso only to put cheap acrylic paint from Michaels art supply store on it. The personality of the painting changes. So do we. Because I'm a daily writer I get the opportunity to read from the pages dating twenty five years. Peeling off those layers totally changed my personality. What happens to the outside if the inside has never been touched? Learning to connect with each piece of the missing puzzle teaches the soul to be present in the "Now." Mindfully lets grow in 2019.

Andrew Santella
Listen to "Andrew Santella Returns To Talk About Soon" on Spreaker.
Dey Street Books is proud to announce the publication of SOON: An Overdue History of Procrastination, from Leonardo and Darwin to You and Me by Andrew Santella (On Sale: March 13, 2018), a thought-provoking exploration of procrastination and some of history's most notable procrastinators.
Santella, a Brooklyn-based writer for numerous publications such as GQ, the New York Times Book Review, Slate, and TheAtlantic.com, is a self-proclaimed procrastinator. Concerned about his habit, but not quite ready to give it up, he set out to learn all he could about the human tendency to delay. When 20 percent of us are procrastinators, a third of all American undergraduates call themselves severe procrastinators, and a staggering 100 minutes of every workday are squandered away by employees, could procrastination really only stem from laziness when so many of our greatest inventors, artists, and scientists are considered members of the same club?
Santella studied history's greatest procrastinators-from Leonardo da Vinci and Frank Lloyd Wright to Charles Darwin and prophets from the Old Testament-to gain insights into human behavior, and perhaps kill time, "research being the best way to avoid real work." He spoke with psychologists, philosophers, and priests. He visited New Orleans' French Quarter, home to a shrine to the patron saint of procrastinators. And at the home of Charles Darwin outside London, he learned how and why the scientist wrote volumes on coral reefs and obsessively studied barnacles during the twenty years between developing his theory of natural selection and actually publishing The Origin of Species. Yet Darwin is remembered not for procrastination, but his brilliance and diligence; it is his delay itself that makes him so human.
With his new book, Santella isn't looking to putting an end to procrastination or to even excuse it. Instead, he refreshingly suggests that delay and deferral can help us understand what truly matters to us. "Sometimes the best things you do are the things you do only to put off doing something else." This is a book for everyone who has ever put off something important.

Clear Your Heart
Listen to "Clearing Your Heart" on Spreaker.
Throughout life we are told a billion times to open our hearts. With an open heart there's opportunity and or a great reason to keep dreaming. Picture that open heart as being an open door leading straight into your living room. It's a sweltering day in the south and every bug that was once on the outside is now taking up room on the flat screen and the uncovered three layered chocolate cake. Opening your heart no longer feels like a quality place. Learning how to clear your heart is the better choice. We are hording life and all that it delivers only to have aching feet, arms, backs and minds. Opening our hearts allows all things to move through you. Those bugs and demons have every right to stay because you didn't hang a sign that said "Only the good times are allowed in." Learning to live a cleared heart lifestyle is a daily choice. Rather than trying to fill your heart. Concentrate on maintaining a clean heart. At the drop of a hat all things can change. An open heart has too much to hold while the clear heart accepts the challenge of rediscovery.

Rudy and Garry From The Guess Who
Listen to "Garry and Rudy from The Guess Who Release The Future Is What It Used To Be" on Spreaker.
The Guess Who is responsible for countless rock classics, which still retain a major presence on rock radio - “American Woman,” “No Time,” “These Eyes,” etc. The band is set to return on September 14th with their latest album, ‘The Future IS What It Used To Be’, released via Cleopatra Records (available in CD, Vinyl, and Digital formats).
The band is Garry Peterson (Drums, Vocals), D# (Lead Vocals, Guitar, Piano), Will E. (Guitar, Harp, Vocals), Leonard Shaw (Keyboards, Flute, Sax, Vocals), and Rudy Sarzo (Bass, Vocals). The album’s first single, ‘Playin’ on the Radio’, will be released on July 17th. It can be heard on Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming services. Also featured on the album are several special guests including, Tommy Shaw (Styx) on vocals, Brent Fitz (Slash, Gene Simmons) percussion, Jim Kale (Guess Who founding member) and Michael Devin (Whitesnake) on bass guitar.
“The song is a celebration of the radio and what it meant to us all.”, explains D#. “Whenever a new great song hit the airwaves, the DJ would say a few words then off to the races! You’d tune in just to hear it over and over again. The character in the song could be any one of us as we move ahead in life. Great music has the innate power to transport you back to so many great memories in an instant. Music is healing. I see it AND feel it every single night in our audience.”
A music video for the track has been filmed (directed by Nigel Dick and shot in Las Vegas), and the song can be pre-ordered on iTunes. The video can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfCVd1c4XvA
"I love what I do, and I love trains and I love rock n' roll,” explains Nigel about the video. “So, I was honored to be asked to shoot The Guess Who. And when they told me they were available for a day in Vegas and by chance I stumbled on this wonderful rail-yard full of old engines just up the road from the strip - I was in heaven - and up to my axles in dust! It was a perfect day.”
And the band is pleased with the results. “My very first music video…who knew?!” says Garry. “Having the privilege of working with the legendary Nigel Dick, took me back to growing up in an era where music videos told a creative visual story that I always looked forward to seeing by my favorite artists,” adds Will. “This track was no exception, adding a colorful, action packed sequence to a great story.”
Garry Peterson: “I never dreamed that I would get a chance to record an album, after 40 years, in the same way, and with the same recording gear that we used in the 60s and 70s. This was truly a blessing for me and a humbling, cathartic experience for my musical soul. Thank you to all my bandmates, and everyone who helped make it a reality. I hope our fans enjoy it as much as I do.”
D#: “This all started when I wrote ‘Playing on the Radio’. Lyrically and musically, these songs are the soundtrack to my journey with The Guess Who over the last 10 years. This record was a joy and an honor to create. As version 3.0 of this iconic band, we had our work cut out for us. The challenge in this type of situation is always to be true to the heartroots of the original blueprint, as well as being able to journey onwards into an inspired future, incorporating the new energies that we bring to the experience, as you do in any family, generation after generation. I hope you enjoy the ride as much as we did.”
Will E: “I am honored to be a part of this chapter of The Guess Who. We specifically wrote and arranged the music to reflect what people have always loved about the band; great songs with big vocal driven choruses. We accomplished our own sound while maintaining the classic nature that makes The Guess Who an iconic band.”
Rudy Sarzo: “The Guess Who is part of the soundtrack of my life. It’s truly an honor to have performed on the new record. And I’m already looking forward to the next one.”
Leonard Shaw: “It has been quite the trip since I joined the Guess Who 25 years ago, but I am stoked about our new recording of original songs! These songs are fun to play live, and people are digging them!”
And soon, fans will be able to hear the latest work from this legendary band, upon the arrival of the rocking and inspired ‘The Future IS What It Used To Be.’

Tom Stephan
Listen to "Tom Stephen Releases Best Seat In The House" on Spreaker.
You want a polite, modest, bland and bleach-y clean biography of a Canadian icon?
This is not it.
You want fist fights, groupies, drugs, drink and trashed hotel rooms (not unlike
the film Road House, in which the band starred), set to the soundtrack of a smoking
hot rock trio fronted by a once-in-a-lifetime guitarist and featuring an all-star
cast, including Bon Jovi, Bill Clinton and two Beatles? Did I mention the book
begins with a blind man driving a tour bus on an icy I-95? Then this is the book for
you.
That said, The Best Seat in the House: My Life in the Jeff Healey Band, by drummer/co-
manager Tom Stephen, is a respectful book. Despite recent acrimony with Healey’s
estate, Stephen clearly loves the man, the music and the memories, and is on an
evangelical mission to get the Toronto guitar god into the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame.
Who was Jeff Healey? If you even need to ask, then you definitely need to read this
book. A towering, charismatic, blind guitarist who played a unique style of guitar, he
made his mark playing blues-based roadhouse rock, selling a combined three
million copies worldwide of his debut album, 1988’s See the Light and the 1989
soundtrack to Road House (in which Healey co-starred). His biggest hit single was
the John Hiatt ballad “Angel Eyes,” which barely scratched the surface of the depth
of his talent. As a Hendrixian guitarist—with all the virtuosity, curiosity and
eclecticism that comparison implies—he had no shortage of famous fans: Stevie
Ray Vaughn, Stevie Wonder, B.B. King, Albert Collins, Dr. John, Slash, Jimmy
Iovine, Patrick Swayze, ZZ Top. “You’re a muthafucka,” Chuck Berry once told
Healey after the Toronto trio backed up the rock’n’roll originator. James Brown had
similarly profane praise: “Jeff, you’re one motherfucker of a guitar player and your
band’s cool, too.”
Jeff Healey knew he was brilliant. He wasn’t a modest Canadian, and he wasn’t a fool.
It can be argued, however, that it might be somewhat foolish to piss off rock gods
Keith Richards, Mark Knopfler, Bob Dylan, industry legend Ahmet Ertegun and
even George Harrison. They all encountered what could easily be construed as the
arrogance of the young Canadian hotshot, when really the strong-willed Healey just
thought he was doing what was best for him and the band. And despite everyone in
the biz telling Healey almost nightly to ditch his rhythm section—which happened
to feature his co-manager, Tom Stephen, on drums—the guitarist stayed true to the
trio who drove through blizzards with him and came to his instant defence in
more than one rowdy roadhouse brawl.
There were lots of fights on the way up. And the way down: physical altercations
with patrons, with record execs, with Stevie Ray Vaughn’s manager—but never with
each other. Tom Stephen was the pushy manager who dared to pull double duty
as a musician; an industry no-no, as everyone in the industry told him time and time
again. Maybe they were right: it’s hard to be the disciplinary enforcer in the band
when you were drinking until dawn with the rest of them on the night before the
morning after. (On one such rough morning, Stephen got a “tut-tut” from none other
than Ringo Starr.)
Stephen’s chutzpah in the mid-’80s led him to show up cold in New York City,
hoping to run into fellow Canadian Paul Shaffer and be introduced to someone who
could get Healey a record deal. Days later, he left NYC with a nine-album deal from
Clive Davis of Arista. Stephen had street smarts he learned growing up in Saint
John, New Brunswick, where many of his classmates ended up in a local jail where
the Jeff Healey Band played a gig years later. One of his classmates died in prison
after murdering four people, including two Hells Angels. Today, Stephen is no
tough guy, however; the wisdom of age allows him to fully admit when he was a
total asshole, and his memoir is remarkably candid and self-aware.
The Jeff Healey Band didn’t end well: they became estranged as Healey moved on
from rock’n’roll in the 2000s, and devoted himself to playing the kind of early jazz
that was always closest to his heart; he’d been collecting old 78-rpm records since
he was a kid. Things eventually got so bad between the original trio that Stephen
was disinvited from Healey’s funeral in 2008; Healey died of cancer at age 41.
Facing his own health concerns now, Stephen is worried that Jeff Healey’s musical
genius is in danger of being forgotten, and this warts-and-all, page-turner of a
portrait is destined to secure his legacy. The time for bitterness and bad blood is
over, and now the full story has been told by the man who had the Best Seat in the
House.

Somebody Has To Ask The Questions
Listen to "Somebody Has To Ask The Questions" on Spreaker.
I'm blessed with the opportunity to speak to many large groups of people. From my point of view I see a lot of arms crossed, people checking their smart phones and or nodding off in the center of a thought. Activating those in attendance requires participation. Engaging them with the type of leadership that needs their input. That's why the majority of my purpose is to have a plan. I play a game in the beginning called Three Questions. On this podcast I talk about how such openness physically creates a connection. We are taught by so many leaders in business to just show up and not say anything because they're in control and it's your job to pull off what they've planned. Almost like a preacher who dumped 40 minutes of thought into your heart but never allows you to ask questions at the end. I'm not embarrassed to tell those who attend my lectures that you've only got my experience for a few moments. Once I'm out that door don't call me with questions. Ask your questions in this moment so we can grow together. The quietest people, those that hide behind the strength of others begin to release their fears and find enough open space to include their questions in the conversation. Somebody has to ask the questions. By way of experience we learn. We grow. We teach. We learn again and again.

Roger Earl
Listen to "Roger Earl From Foghat And Roger And The Agitators" on Spreaker.
Rock n’ Roll, Blues and a dash of Country are being served “Shaken & Stirred” in the latest release by the ‘Earl and the Agitators All Star Band’. “Shaken & Stirred” (a follow-up to their 2016 self-titled EP) will be released on Friday, October 26th, 2018. Earl & the Agitators is the brain child of Foghat founding member/drummer Roger Earl, singer/guitarist extraordinaire Scott Holt (former 10-year Buddy Guy alum) and Foghat lead/slide guitarist Bryan Bassett. Rounding out the line-up for the live bonus tracks are Foghat bassist Rodney O’Quinn, guitarist Tony Bullard and percussionist Mark Petrocelli.
A pre-order and stream of the album is available here: http://smarturl.it/listenEATA
“This band was born out of a passion for American Music,” explains Roger. “Rock, Blues & Country. Scott Holt, who played with Buddy Guy, one of my musical heroes, for many years, channels this music with a joy and mastery of a seasoned pro. With his fireballing guitar and soulful vocals, we had a blast writing and recording! And since we are all big Johnny Cash fans we also included a couple of his songs for fun. I love making music with Scott!”.
“So, you're in a band and you have some friends that are in another band,” adds Scott. “You get together and hang out, writing and recording music. You share a love for old rock n’ roll, blues and country, so you jam on a Tommy Tucker tune and even take a swing at a Johnny Cash cut from the Sun Records days. You're having so much fun that you give it a name and even take it onstage! The recipe is simple; take your Chess and Sun 45's, throw them in a blender with a dollop of thundering drums, thumping bass and searing electric guitars...I'm pretty sure that's the recipe for rock n’ roll!”
Bryan also realized that EATA were on to something special, straight away. “Over the years of playing professionally I have come to recognize and appreciate musical chemistry. When you meet someone that you just hit it off with, both as a friend and as a musical collaborator, special things happen. And so it was when I met Scott Holt. Our instant chemistry for writing songs and the way we just naturally blended as guitar players lead to us having many tracks recorded for no other reason than we loved writing, playing and recording together. Roger and I have been comrades in arms for many years and now we had all these songs recorded and ready to go. That left us with a conundrum...what do we do with them? Well what we did was come up with a *fun name, ‘Earl and the Agitators’ and we decided to put the songs out there so our friends and fans could listen, and I hope like what we've come up with. It certainly was a great musical experience for Rog, Scott and I and all our fellow collaborating ‘Earls’.”

National Geographic’s critically acclaimed documentary series EXPLORER has returned with all new episodes every Monday night at 10/9c. Albert Lin is very literally a high-tech explorer and correspondent for National Geographic EXPLORER. Having become part-man, part-machine due to the recent addition of a high-tech prosthetic leg, Lin explores what he calls the “human frontier.”
We know that there would be no life on earth without plants … they provide food, clothing, shelter, medicine, fuels, air and water. But what might surprise you is that new research has revealed trees can talk to each other. Correspondent Albert Lin has gone to great heights – in the wilds of British Columbia - to get to the root of this amazing phenomenon.
Getting to Mars will be hell on your body. In deep space, human muscles break down, brains swell, and there are limited protections against radiation bombardment. But if humans can take a cue from the fat-tailed dwarf lemur and hibernate for the nine-month journey, we’d not only survive long trips into deep space—we’d thrive. Explorer joins astronauts, medical researchers, and a colony of bug-eyed lemurs to unlock the human potential for deep space torpor.
We Broke Free Of The Circle
Listen to "We Broke Free From The Circle" on Spreaker.
Being connected to animals isn't something I recently picked up. The entire walk has been a collection of well focused conversations with a part of the universe that many choose not to study and or listen to. I take Animal Speak seriously. As crazy as it may seem, the language of the animal kingdom is what humans pushed themselves away from. The human ego knew it had the ability to be greater so it's choice was to lead its own life and style. Wait! How could an out in the public Christian say things about animals talking? Does Dr. Doolittle know of such insanity? On this podcast I talk about how God uses animals to reach those areas of our divided paths. He quickly captures our attention but we choose not to step toward understanding why a particular animal has appeared in the moment. Mainly because most people don't understand nor will they look beyond their nearest touch as to what each animal represents on the path. Animal Speak is a brilliant step toward becoming part of the atmosphere of a daily universe. Trusting it's arrival teaches your mind body and soul to participate with the present. To learn from the messages of the spirit guides and keepers. It's not just animals talking to the hell bent ways of the human ego. National Geographic's Explorer series just aired a brilliant story on how trees endlessly speak. The studies they unveiled will wake up your heart and allow you to grow in open fields of change and challenge. Native American spirituality teaches us that the greatest storytellers on the planet are in fact trees and rocks. But how often do you remove both of them from the presence of our living places? The questions to your answers are in front of you. Take the time to listen to those commanded to speak. Or continue listening to the voices in your head that keep calling you a loser and everything else not so positive.

Tower Of Power
Listen to "Emilio Castillo and Stephen Doc Kupka From Tower Of Power" on Spreaker.
Oakland, California music legends Tower of Power – the most dynamic and distinctive band of
survivors in Soul Music – is roaring into its unprecedented 50 th anniversary with a dynamic new disc of
all new material that finds them as energized and inspired as ever. A labor of love, definitively titled
Soul Side of Town, this package is charged with 14 filler-free songs. In the spirit of their enduring
theme song “Oakland Stroke” – the bookending intro and outro “East Bay” shine a light on elemental
instrumental ingredients within the band’s signature sound. This astounding and historical release
(available June 1, 2018 in digital, vinyl, streaming & CD configurations) inaugurates Tower of Power’s
fresh affiliation with Mack Avenue Records/Artistry Music, a Detroit-based company renowned for its
award-winning dedication to top-tier Jazz that is now extending its support to Soul and Funk giants,
Tower of Power: a band so one-of-a-kind, it’s an institution.
As always, the songs on Tower of Power’s Soul Side of Town were primarily composed by the
hitmaking team of founding members Emilio Castillo (Detroit-born on 2 nd tenor sax) and Stephen
“Doc” Kupka (Los Angeles-born on baritone sax) who also hold down the world famous 5-man Tower
of Power Horns. For the special occasion of Tower of Power’s 50 th anniversary, leader Emilio Castillo
brought in a most-astute choice in co-producer, Joe Vannelli: an all-around
production/engineering/keyboard master best known for the jazz-tinged Soul-Rock Grammy®-winning
work he performed behind the scenes with his international superstar brother, Gino Vannelli. Also
insuring that the sound blasts powerful and clear from your speakers is the presence of mastering
engineer Bernie Grundman in the mix. Along with the legendary rhythm section drums and bass lock
of David Garibaldi and Francis Rocco Prestia, respectively, these decorated veterans have custom-
crafted a hair-raising audio experience that longtime fans, music connoisseurs and a new generation of
listeners will groove to for years to come.
In keeping with Tower of Power’s golden canon of classics, the new material picks up the torch in all of
the time-tested styles fans respect and love. In line with hiply intricate, cranial-crushing funk classics
such as “Down to the Nightclub” and “Soul Vaccination” are new jams “Do You Like That?” and “On the
Soul Side of Town.” In the tradition of heart-stopping balladry like their biggest chart hits “You’re Still a
Young Man” and “So Very Hard to Go” are new love songs like “Let it Go” (Bruno Mars will want to
cover this one) and “Can’t Stop Thinking About You.” Along the firing-on-all-cylinders line of

You Moving Forward
Listen to "You Moving Forward" on Spreaker.
The physical act of moving forward requires challenge as well as change. Raise your hand if such a subject inspires the depth of your personality. Great books of wisdom, motivation and inspiration always seem to be picked up when the next step is fed by personal desperation. I'll never forget where my life was before bumping into the pages that make up The Artist Way from Julia Cameron. I was in Santa Barbara, California wandering around my creative space asking God for any direction available. I needed something other than taking up too much space. No book has been so open to creative minds than The Artist Way. She helps all people understand their avenues of expression without weighing down your spirit to want to move forward. For many, the month of December is a very difficult time because in a matter of days it's going to be a new year. Who wants to kick off a new set of numbers feeling like a loser? On this podcast we explore your right to be in control of now. Your past has already been written and yet we spend more time in it then what actually took place. I learned in the 1990's that for every five years you're married it takes two years to heal. Wouldn't the same be true about your job or a friendship that's gone crazy? I'm not a visionary but I do spend a lot of time preparing and predicting what's being shaped by the future. That's still not a place of control. It's gambling. A guessing game. The prime spot to open your heart to be let down again and again. Mindfully we are in the present but do you appreciate your present place of now? To maintain a path of personal growth requires the energy of where you are now. As out of control as it may feel you have complete control of how you feel, think, speak and react to. It's a choice. A difficult discussion with the self inside but only if you've allowed that inner you to be heard. Lift your foot off that past and allow it to be seen only in the now. Grow with your present place by simply saying, "Clear your heart. Clear your mind." When the voices of doubt try to crank up the volume keep saying, "Clear your heart. Clear your mind." Yoga Nidra teaches each of us to be present by separating ourselves from the grooves of the record we keep playing over and over. The only way to remove the groove is to clear your heart and clear your mind. It's you moving forward.

Dr Ian Smith
Listen to "Dr Ian Smith The Clean 20 Book And Soon To Be Facebook Club" on Spreaker.
Dr. Ian K. Smith lays out the basic concepts behind clean eating-reducing the amount of processed foods, added sugars, and unnecessary additives in the foods we eat, in order to give our bodies and minds the best fuel possible. "Clean eating is all about knowing what you're putting in your body," says Dr. Ian, "and the impact foods and beverages can `have on not just your health, but your mind and overall functioning."
THE CLEAN 20 begins with a list of The Clean 20 Foods that are packed with phytonutrients, vitamins and minerals. These are powerful health-boosters--ranging from avocado to whole wheat pasta and everything in between-that readers can easily find, prepare, and incorporate into their diets over this 20 day program. Guidelines for adding additional clean foods are included, as well as lists of herbs and spices, so that anyone can add as much variety as they like. Flexibility is key--"if it's natural and not processed with artificial ingredients," Dr. Ian says, "feel free to go ahead and eat it."
The book includes a complete 20-day clean eating program with a flexible meal plan and important motivation for each day, as well as 60 recipes and substitutions, and a variety of 20-minute, easy-to-work-in workouts.
Dr. Ian knows what works: it's not eliminating food groups, but choosing foods within each group wisely to satisfy the palate and the body's nutritional demands. THE CLEAN 20 isn't just vegetables. Grains are in. And so is fruit, fat, meat and fish. When palate and nutrition are in sync, weight loss not only follows, it sticks. THE CLEAN 20 is a life and body changer.

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter 135
Listen to "The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 135" on Spreaker.
While sitting in a forest these words became the path of the writing, "An atmosphere of constant change makes no room for a guarantee." We only assume the forest floor sits in its present shape not just today but all days until it rains. Our personal lives are no different. We are trained to think that change is the only way to process progress. Therefore we create change to motivate all that may become a greater day of victory. On this podcast I talk about how many chances each of us take daily. We accept third to fifteenth best. The proof is in the way we shop. Look at how many successful outlet malls there are. It's not perfectly made clothing. We prefer to pay a cheaper price for a mismatch. I'm extremely guilty of eating at restaurants that have a 91 and lower rating. My heart believes this place of business probably had a bad day during the inspection and they need a little help from the community to keep them moving forward. I'm willing to become ill during their moment of attempting to grow forward. You may not do this while seeking food for your hunger but when it comes to your job or a person your heart thinks it loves, we are always willing to accept the lower rating. Breaking that habit has its pain with the potential of no gain. I've known friends who wanted only one thing in a person or they'd never marry. Once the vows were shared, that perfect attempt didn't truly come with a guaranteed payoff. This isn't about accepting bad business or people but rather being aware of who we are in the present. The average person spends more time in the past then the past actually existed. Another chunk of travelers are geared up and hiking the trails of a future that may never get here. Being available in the present doesn't make life 100% happily ever after but it allows your decisions to be more focused on how it will be received when tomorrow arrives.
