Share The Experience

Listen to "Share The Experience" on Spreaker. How old are you? How much have you lived? Has any of it been used as a lesson to invite and or inspire? Too often we take in every experience and label it good or bad. Be it at work or home. The next decision you make could actually be a valuable lesson for someone you meet ten years from now. We've grown into silence. It's almost as if we feel the weight of the bank account is the true purpose of our being. When in reality its how we experience that has turned each of us into teachers.

Ali Caldwell Is Back

Listen to "Ali Caldwell Returns From NBCs The Voice" on Spreaker. Ali skipped college to join Xhale, a three-person R&B group. They opened for Boys II Men and played for Patti LaBelle at her tribute concert. Although they met with several record labels, they couldn't get signed and called it quits in 2010. In 2014, Ali went to Russia and toured all over the country with a successful jazz musician named Oleg. Since then, she has been to Russia five times and performs more than 20 shows a year.

Bill Rancic

Listen to "Bill Rancic First Light" on Spreaker. “First Light pulls from my own life experiences to tell a fictional story of love, survival and hope. My desire is that people finish this book feeling empowered to tackle life’s countless challenges and obstacles. I believe through determination and faith anything can be achieved no matter how insurmountable the odds may appear. It was an incredible, cathartic experience writing my first novel, and I hope everyone finds the same inspiration and thrill while reading it that I had while putting it together.” – Bill Rancic In First Light, a debut novel inspired by his own love story with wife and television personality Giuliana Rancic, Bill Rancic recounts the story of a young couple as told to their 10-year-old son. Ten years earlier, Daniel and Kerry are leaving a work trip in Alaska to plan their wedding back home in Chicago when their plane is sent careening into a mountainside in the middle of the Yukon during a terrible snowstorm, seriously injuring Kerry in the accident. It soon becomes clear that search-and-rescue teams aren’t going to find the survivors in time to save her. Daniel, the one passenger with survival experience, determines to find help and bring it back to the rest of the passengers, but his choices are made all the more difficult by the presence of his boss, a stubborn man more interested in results than taking care of people. Only one man will come out of their trek alive, but it still may not be in time to save Kerry and the other critically injured survivors. As the parents’ story draws to a close, the truth about their son’s life will at last be revealed.

Henry Paul from The Outlaws

Listen to "Henry Paul from the Outlaws Legacy Live" on Spreaker. For The Outlaws, it´s always about the music. Especially live music! For more than 40 years, the southern rock legend has celebrated triumphs, endured tragedies and survived legal nightmares to remain one of the most influential and best-loved bands of the genre. It’s a band of brothers bound together by history, harmony and the road. It’s about a group that respects its own legacy while refusing to be defined by its past. But most of all, it’s about playing live, playing for their audience. The sextet proves just how well this combination works with Legacy Live, its brand-new double live CD, scheduled for release on November 18th, 2016 on Steamhammer/SPV. “I want people to hear this album and see our show and realize that The Outlaws are still there,” says founding member and front man Henry Paul. “Our goal is to unite the fans and bring the group back into the limelight.” Legacy Live consists of two CDs, full to the brim with classics such a ´There Goes Another Love Song`, ´Ghost Riders`, ´Green Grass & High Tides Forever` and ´Freeborn Man` as well as more recent material like ´It´s About Pride`, ´Hidin` Out In Tennessee` and ´So Long`. A total of 20 songs, every one of which proves: the gritty southern rock by The Outlaws mark 2016 is as intense and passionate as it’s always been. And what is more: On stage, the band burns hotter than ever. “The Outlaws helped define Southern Rock for me and for generations of fans,” wrote American music journalist Bill Robinson in June 2012 in The Huffington Post. “Seeing them onstage with The Charlie Daniels Band, Marshall Tucker Band, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd or countless others was, for a long time, one of the best experiences I could have.” The Outlaws’ live shows – more than 150 per year – are blazing 2+ hour tributes to the band’s rich history and fiery rebirth. Classic tracks and fan favorites from the first three albums – as well as The Henry Paul Band’s definitive “Grey Ghost” – share the spotlight with songs from the newer discs. “I think the fans are coming away from shows feeling a part of the Outlaws experience.” Formed in Tampa in 1972, The Outlaws – known for their triple-guitar rock attack and three-part country harmonies – became one of the first acts signed by Clive Davis (at the urging of Ronnie Van Zant) to his then-fledgling Arista Records. The band’s first three albums The Outlaws, Lady In Waiting and Hurry Sundown – featuring such rock radio favorites as “There Goes Another Love Song”, “Green Grass & High Tides”, “Knoxville Girl” and “Freeborn Man” – would become worldwide gold and platinum landmarks of the Southern Rock era. Known as ‘The Florida Guitar Army’ by their fans, The Outlaws earned a formidable reputation as an incendiary live act touring with friends The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Marshall Tucker Band and The Charlie Daniels Band as well as The Doobie Brothers, The Who, Eagles and The Rolling Stones. Henry Paul left after the group’s third album to form The Henry Paul Band for Atlantic Records, and later the multi-Platinum country trio Blackhawk. Over the next 20+ years, The Outlaws would experience rampant personnel changes, tonal missteps, ill-fated reunions and bitter trademark battles. And with the tragic deaths of co-founding members Frank O’Keefe and Billy Jones in 1995, and especially songwriter/vocalist/lead guitarist Hughie Thomasson in 2007, it was feared that The Outlaws’ trail had come to an end. Luckily, things turned out differently than expected: Along with founding members Henry Paul, Monte Yoho and Steve Grisham, the band features several of Southern Rock’s most respected veterans: Co-lead guitarist and longtime Outlaw Chris Anderson is well known for his collaborations with artists that include Dickey Betts, Lucinda Williams, Hank Williams Jr., and Skynyrd. Keyboardist/vocalist Dave Robbins is a co-founding member of Blackhawk and has written hit songs for artists that include Restless Heart, Kenny Rogers and Eric Clapton. Bassist/vocalist Randy Threet has performed with Pam Tillis, Trisha Yearwood and Blackhawk, and is familiar to TV audiences from USA Network’s ‘Nashville Star’. “From the very beginning, our band had a heart,” Monte Yoho says, “for The Outlaws, it’s still about the music. And more than ever, it’s about live music!”

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter 50

Listen to "The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 50" on Spreaker. Returning to those places where decisions were made. Moments that come to your heart as being blank spaces and new chapters of growth. I recently returned to the forest where my little boy took his final steps and breath. I know what I was feeling that day and know of the actions I took in response. After eleven years I was called back to the open collection of trees. The writing is was in sharp question. The author wanted to know why and what was he supposed to be looking for? I got my answer this past weekend while attending studies at Elevation Church Ballantyne. Pastor Furtick called it The Loop. To sit and listen took me back to the forest of 2005 and then into the limbs and leaves of 2016.

YoYo

Listen to "YoYo Releases Debut EP" on Spreaker. I love it when musicians get together and share the connections between what is and isn't. More importantly how a song suddenly appears as a bit of a riff then evolves into a piece of sound that invites the passerby to participate. When you get with YoYo they continue to evolve the songs as we openly discuss the makings of harmony. They are endless with the chances they took and continue to take. Which goes along with what many singer/songwriters admit "A song is never truly finished. It evolves."

Willie Robertson

Listen to "Willie Robertson The American Fisherman" on Spreaker. American history is one incredible fishing tale . . . An essential book for everyone who loves casting a line into our nation’s waters, The American Fisherman, by outdoorsman Willie Robertson (CEO of Duck Commander and star of A&E’s Duck Dynasty) and bestselling historian William Doyle, reveals that in the U.S.A., fishing is far more than a pastime—it has shaped our past and defined our character in remarkable ways. This generously illustrated celebration of fish, anglers, and our country’s treasured wild places traces fishing’s astonishing impact on the United States and its people, from the nation’s settlement and founding to its economic growth and even our creativity and faith. Native Americans were the continent’s first master anglers, and they incorporated fish into their spiritual beliefs and legends. When the Vikings, the earliest European visitors, arrived, they were drawn across the Atlantic Ocean by the bountiful fishing grounds of North America’s East Coast. During the colonial era, fish helped save the Pilgrims, make George Washington wealthy, and win the American Revolution. From New England cod to Pacific Northwest salmon to Gulf shrimp, the fishing industry has fed and financed centuries of Americans in every region of the country. Throughout, Willie and Bill explore how fishing has made an enduring mark on our national identity and culture. The American Fisherman is also an ode to our nation’s extraordinary natural places: alpine trout streams in the Rocky Mountains; steelhead runs along the storm-tossed Alaskan coast; the azure waters off Key West, where marlin roam; and the bayous of Louisiana, where the Robertsons have instilled the love and lessons of fishing in each generation, as so many other families have. A spirited and unique look at the U.S.A. and its people, The American Fisherman will hook every sportsman and forever deepen their appreciation for the fishing life. WILLIE ROBERTSON BIO Businessman, outdoorsman, hunter, speaker and author – Willie Robertson is best known as the CEO of Duck Commander on A&E’s Duck Dynasty. Duck Commander is not only the brand of the best-selling duck call in the United States, but also a popular trademark for apparel, hunting gear, wine, foods, spices and more. Willie has expanded the family company from a living room operation to a multi-million dollar enterprise and into a premiere destination for all things outdoors including Buck Commander, Fin Commander, Strut Commander and Duck Commander Family Foods. As the executive producer of Duck Dynasty on A&E and Buck Commander on Outdoor Channel, Willie is able to combine his passion for the outdoors with his natural ability to entertain. While the Robertsons’ story is a great example of entrepreneurship and dedication, it is at its core built on faith and family. Willie is a New York Times best selling author of The Duck Commander Family: How Faith Family and Ducks built a Dynasty, American Hunter and American Fisherman, and he along with his family, have a platinum selling Christmas album Duck The Halls. Willie and Korie along with their children live in West Monroe, La.

David Thomson

Listen to "David Thomson Television A Biography" on Spreaker. In just a few years, that immobile piece of living room furniture, in front of which viewers had to sit at appointed times in order to watch sponsored programming on a finite number of channels, has morphed into a glowing cloud of screens with access to a near endless supply of content available when and how we want it. The effect of this revolutionary transformation—lately pondered by so many of the culterati—makes a writer of David Thomson’s stature delivering a history of the screen which got us here an event which could not be more timely. In his introduction to TELEVISION: A BIOGRAPHY, Thomson notes that “if you wanted to play everything that has been on all the channels of American television all the hours of every day, that playing would take 5,000 years, give or take a century or so. The stuff is growing at a demented pace, as if the ‘wasteland,’ which was once a lofty put-down of television is actually a rampant jungle.” So instead of a strict chronology, Thomson has built twenty-one thematically organized chapters in which he turns his provocatively insightful and observant gaze to the sixty-five-year-long television era. In “Part One: The Medium” Thomson explores what he terms “the things that are always there:” the social and political climate of the television age; the move from novel craze to complacent habit; the rise of formulaic TV shows; the relationship of the new medium to film; the creation of television personas; commercials and the structure of calculated interruption; authoritative figureheads; “good” and “bad” television; and the role of public television. In “Part Two: The Messages,” individual chapters consider the evolution over the decades of hit procedurals (Law & Order, Hill Street Blues, Miami Vice, NYPD Blue), comedies (I Love Lucy, Newhart, Fawlty Towers, Seinfeld), and network news; the relationships of presidents to Americans via the small screen; the creation and experience of role models who brought minorities to TV; sports and live TV events; and shows that seem to always be on. Throughout TELEVISION: A BIOGRAPHY, Thomson surveys a Boschian landscape, illuminated by that singular glow and peopled by everyone from Donna Reed to Dennis Potter to Donald Trump, and offers a rip-roaring, unexpected, and perhaps most of all, deeply thought-provoking history of the medium that has defined us.

Doug Stanhope

Listen to "Doug Stanhope No Place Like Home" on Spreaker. No Place Like Home is Stanhope’s fourteenth comedy special since he began his career in stand-up over 25 years ago. He has also made numerous television appearances, including a memorable performance on an episode of his friend Louis C.K.’s series Louie. Doug’s growing fan base has helped him sell out theatres across the world. Called “the most important standup working today” by Ricky Gervais and “one of the most bracing live acts on the stand-up circuit” by the Denver Post, Stanhope’s confrontational and vulgar style of comedy has led to him being compared to legends like Richard Pryor, Sam Kinison and Bill Hicks.

Be A Roadie

Listen to "Be A Roadie" on Spreaker. Are we true fans of the people we've become? The creative self that gives you that jump of excitement. How often does he or she get permission to be seen by way of showcasing its personality? My creative self is nowhere near who I am on the everyday path. He's a deep thinker. A planner. A decision maker by way of living for tomorrow and not yesterday. Being a daily writer allows me to be aware of my creative self. To never set aside a change or a challenge but to believe in its availability. Whereas most people would rather walk free from something that isn't so giving. Become a Roadie to the creative self you keep hidden away. Not only will you learn more about you but those around you will grow in support of who you truly are as a person and not just a product of Corporate America.

Which allows them to have more time to explore rather than purchasing allotted time or waiting for the big labels to locate the needle in the haystack. Cassandra Michaels is one such artist. Getting into that studio becomes the adventure. Then its time to share it with the followers.

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter 49

Listen to "The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 49" on Spreaker. A person with open emotions isn't the one to question. It's the travelers whose heart has become closed. Too often we label the wearer of moods with identities that never truly represent how close they are to truer peace. God may not have the answers because he's endlessly educating us to pull ourselves free of the darkness. There can't be a spring and summer without fall. The leaves of green and brown must fall to the planet so the soils can rejuvenate the purpose. Don't be afraid of recognizing your days of doubt. Awareness is God coming to life.

Matt from Sonic Palace

Listen to "Matt Mercado from Sonic Palace Sasquatch" on Spreaker. Matt Mercado has had a long and successful career in the music business. He first gained national attention fronting the‘90s hard rock band Mindbomb. The band was signed to Mercury Records and toured the world with megastars KISS, Rob Halford, Jackyl and Mötley Crüe and their songs were featured in the major motion pictures, Kalifornia and Cliffhanger. Post Mindbomb, Mercado formed the electro/metal rock band Pivot Man. After that band had its own successful run, Mercado formed Supermercado whose song “Ditch Kitty” appeared on the gold-selling video game soundtrack to “FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage”. His career has extended to stages across the world and to every part of the recording studio. His latest project, Sonic Palace Band, is a culmination of his technical and musical experience as well as the continued relationships he has with the musicians he’s worked with in the past. The band, named after Mercado’s Sonic Palace recording studio, is an extension of the studio itself and features long-time players in the Chicago area metal and hard rock scene. The Sonic Palace Band was designed for the studio. That’s where it thrives with no constraints, no boundaries and no rules about what musical styles its members will follow. Mercado turned to the talents of past bandmates; drummer, ‘’Vulgar” Vic Pedraza, guitarist/vocalist, Joe Torossian and bassist, Jim Kramer, to fill out the quartet. All are veterans of Chicago’s hard rock music scene. With so much talent, experience and technical skill in the room, it’s hard not to imagine their first single,“Sasquatch” capturing the ears of music fans young and old. The song was recorded at Sonic Palace, of course, and perfectly displays the great songwriting, musicianship and recording skill of everyone involved. In addition to Mercado’s achievements, the other members of SPB have long and accomplished résumés as well. Pedraza has been a part of the local music scene around Chicago since the mid1980s. In addition to Pivot Man, he has performed with City Heat, Suicide Bride, Metalmorphis and D-Connect. Torossian is a local songwriter and versatile guitarist who has played with Messenger, The Wild and FOS, as well as Pivot Man. Jim Kramer is a songwriter and classically trained musician who has lent his talents to local acts Bunker Hill, SIIN, Extremely Angry Youth, Punch n' Judy, to name but a few. Recording under the name Nohtimo Epok, Kramer recorded his first single "I Get Drunk" at Sonic Palace Studios. Mercado founded Sonic Palace in 2003 as be a comfortable, imaginative, and professional facility that was open to artists working in all genres. In particular, the studio has helped boost the city’s burgeoning rap scene by recording and promoting rappers such as Famous Dex, who went on to sign with Rich Forever Records, and Katie Got Bandz, who is best known for her smash hit “Make Me Rich” featuring Jeremih and Chi Hoover. The band is working on an EP to be released in early 2017! LA Knight

Listen to "LA Knight Dog Training The American Male" on Spreaker. The new laugh-out-loud novel, “DOG TRAINING THE AMERICAN MALE” by L.A. Knight, has been described as Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In meets a funny Fifty Shades of Gray. The quirky love story introduces readers to Dr. Nancy Beach, a relationship counselor who hosts a local radio show in South Florida called Love’s a Beach. One problem: The relationship “expert” can’t seem to make her own relationships work, sending her credibility and ratings into the toilet. Nancy is set-up on a blind date with Jacob Cope, a Lehman Brothers casualty who lost his job and swagger and yearns to be a stand-up comedienne/ventriloquist. Jacob is a walking thesaurus of phobias and now he’s dating a psych major... the two are either perfect for each other or the relationship is a ticking time bomb. Jacob’s brother (gynecologist Vinnie) and Nancy’s lesbian sister (Lana) encourage the young couple to move in together. When the honeymoon stage abruptly ends, Lana convinces Jacob to buy her sister a little white foofie dog – a pet she enjoyed as a child. Being a “typical man” Jacob doesn’t listen and goes to the dog pound, returning home with Sam – a 120 pound German Shepherd. Chaos ensues and Nancy flips out. But after hiring a dog trainer she has an epiphany – what if the dog trainer’s techniques can be used to housebreak Jacob? That begins a wild, hilarious social experiment that every couple and dog owner can identify with. About L.A. Knight... The book’s BIO describes L.A. Knight as the first pup born to a litter of four. Managing to escape from several disobedient schools in Philadelphia and a failed mating with a Shih-tzu from New York, L.A. relocated to South Florida and quickly went in heat over a gorgeous poodle who was still nursing two pups from a prior breeding. The couple had produced two pups of their own when L.A. penned DOG TRAINING THE AMERICAN MALE. In reality, L.A. Knight is the pseudonym for an established NY Times best-selling author of 16 thrillers who penned DTTAM as a means of dealing with the sorrow of his father’s passing. The initials L.A. are his Dad’s initials, the KNIGHT signifying his father’s role in their family... a “knight in shining armor.”

When Art Comes Back

Listen to "When Art Returns" on Spreaker. I am an artist. The canvas has been an active part of my path since 1997. Only twice has a painting returned to me years after it was relinquished. What does that mean to an artist? Is there a deeper story for the writer in me to listen to? What did the canvas experience that has called out to me 14 years after its departure? I believe we all face the such returns. We are reminded instantly of who we once were. But rarely do we think it's still part of the process of who we'd like to become tomorrow. The one thing I'm extremely proud of is how my creative process refuses to see itself as a middle aged man. When art returns it says to me, "Inspire and influence another. Teach someone to paint their own path. Pick up the brush and bring new life to the ageless soul." How open are you to using the tools from yesterday in process of becoming tomorrow?

Kyra Sedgwick

Listen to "Kyra Sedgwick from Edge Of Seventeen" on Spreaker. Kyra Minturn Sedgwick was born in New York City on August 19, 1965, to Patricia Heller, an educational and family therapist, and Henry D. Sedgwick, a venture capitalist. Sedgwick has something of a blue-blood pedigree: Her great-grandfather, Endicott Peabody, founded the famous Groton School, and her cousin, Edie Sedgwick, was the celebrated muse of '60s pop artist Andy Warhol. Sedgwick's parents split when she was a young girl, and at the age of 6 she moved with her mother to her stepfather's home, on New York City's Upper East Side. A fan of the theater and a friend of many Broadway celebrities, Sedgwick's mother encouraged her children to take an interest in the arts. When she was 12, Kyra took to the stage for the first time in a school production of Fiddler on the Roof. As she later remembered, "I just fell in love. For the first time, my soul was free." By the age of 16, Kyra Sedgwick had become a professional actor, landing a recurring role on the soap opera Another World. But she's always viewed soaps as a stepping stone. "I knew I wanted to be a great actor," she said. In the late 1980s, Sedgwick was cast in a 1988 PBS version of the Lanford Wilson play Lemon Sky. On set, she met Kevin Bacon, an actor who had already achieved Hollywood fame for his roles in films such as Footloose and Diner. Sedgwick later admitted to initially finding Bacon repulsively arrogant. "I met him on the first day: He got into the van, he wasn't very friendly, he had an attitude," she recalled. Bacon eventually changed her mind. The couple married in 1988, when Sedgwick was 22. Their first child together, son Travis, was conceived on their honeymoon, and daughter Sosie followed three years later. "If someone had told me that at 22 I was going to meet the man I was going to marry and at 23 I would marry him and have a child, I would have told them they were out of their mind," the actress later said. Sedgwick's career began gaining steam at the time of her marriage, with the actress landing key roles on Broadway—in the Eugene O'Neill play Ah, Wilderness!—and in Hollywood—opposite Tom Cruise in the film Born on the Fourth of July. Sedgwick became even more selective in taking parts after the births of her children. She limited her appearances to small, quality roles, such as the daughter of the characters played by Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward in the 1990 film Mr. & Mrs. Bridge. Sedgwick also starred as Julia Roberts's sister in 1995's Something to Talk About and mixed roles in films like Singles (1992) and Phenomenon (1996) with appearances in indie flicks as well as on television. Sedgwick's career took a new turn when she was cast as the lead on the TNT drama The Closer, which premiered in 2005. She played deputy police chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, a tough Southern cop with a knack for getting perps to confess to their crimes. Though initially reluctant to leave her New York-based family for six months a year to film in Los Angeles, Sedgwick accepted the role. The show, boosted by Sedgwick's winning performance, gained a robust audience as well as critical acclaim. In 2007 and 2009, respectively, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award (best actress in a drama television series) and a People's Choice Award (favorite TV drama diva) for her role on the series. In 2010, she was honored with an Emmy Award for lead actress in a drama series—the first major award of her long and varied career. "TV is a very intimate experience for people, and I know that because of the way they react to you when they see you on the street!" Sedgwick said of her new connection with fans. "They say, 'Oh, I loooooooove you!' It's this deep connection and a very intimate one. They feel like they know you; you're in their living room ... And I appreciate being that person that's accessible enough so that people can be intimate with me onscreen and on the street." Sedgwick stayed with The Closer through its seven-season run. After the show ended in 2012, she took on a few film roles: She starred in The Possession, a 2012 horror movie, and the following year had a small part in Kill Your Darlings, starring Daniel Radcliffe. Around this same time, Sedgwick was cast in a starring role alongside Bella Thorne in the thriller Blue Sky. Most recently Sedgwick produced the pilot and is co-executive producer for TNT's drama Proof, which stars Jennifer Beals, Matthew Modine, and Joe Morton.

Mariam Pare

Listen to "Mariam Pare The Healing Power of Art" on Spreaker. One moment she was a 20-year-old aspiring artist, a painter possessing tremendous talent and potential. The next moment Mariam Pare’ was a quadriplegic, the victim of random gun violence, shot by an unknown assailant while driving her car. Her dream of artistic success was dead. Or was it? The debate over gun violence is raging this election year as pro- and anti-gun advocates clash over Second Amendment freedoms versus the staggering numbers of gun violence victims. Her assailant was never arrested and Mariam has lived with the consequences of his actions ever since that awful day in 1996. She underwent years of painful and exhausting physical therapy, but along the way, she experienced a miracle. She was taught to hold a pencil in her mouth to write her name and her dreams were given new life as she began painting with her mouth. Today, Mariam is a successful commercial artist thanks to her association with Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (MFPA), an international consortium of disabled artists around the world who make their living selling their work as reproductions on greeting cards, calendars books and other gift items. Mariam is available for an interview to discuss how she leads a productive and fulfilling life despite her condition and the healing power of art. John Oates

Out now, the song is available on the websites hallandoates.com and johnoates.com as a limited edition vinyl single with an option to buy an autographed version. The holiday themed vinyl will also include "Children Go Where I Send Thee" as a b-side. Digital downloads are available at most outlets including iTunes and Google Play. When asked about the inspiratation behind the song, Oates replied, "So much has been said when it comes to holiday songs, there is a very narrow frame of references that work in this genre. I've always wanted to write and record a swing style song. It reminds me of the music that my folks listened to when I was a young kid. I penned the original version of 'Santa Be Good To Me' with Josh Charles, Steven Davis and Allisa Moreno. We tried to write a contemporary lyric talking about trying to find love an companionship in a modern world and still not lose the holiday spirit." Nashville's multi GRAMMY nominated band, The Time Jumpers, are the perfect complement to the timeless sound of the song. The members of "The Time Jumpers" who played on the record, each a master of his instrument, include: Vince Gill (electric guitar), Paul Franklin (steel guitar), Brad Albin (upright bass), Billy Thomas (drums), Kenny Sears (fiddle), Larry Franklin (fiddle), Joe Spivey (fiddle) Andy Reiss (electric guitar) and Jeff Taylor (accordion). On working with The Time Jumpers Oates adds, "The first time I heard them perform I was blown away by their high level of musicianship and knew someday I wanted to record with them. 'Santa Be Good To Me' felt like the perfect song to work on together. We recorded it live in the studio...it was magic...everything I hoped for and more." ’ To purchase "Santa Be Good To Me" please visit www.JohnOates.com/Store

Method Of Process Part 3

Listen to "Methods Of Process Part Three" on Spreaker. In this part we put focus on the introvert. Some find it difficult to believe how much of a loner I am. I openly admit that it's injured my career. Think of it as the fruit on the limbs of a tree. How giving is that tree? I sit and watch animals endlessly take the fruit before its ripe. The human is no different. Being a creative mind and spirit puts you in a position of developing fruit on your branches. No day passes that someone doesn't pass your tree thinking the objects on the limb belong to them. Where is it safe? Being that introvert proves to be the answer for multiple many. But that's not the way you were designed.

Methods Of Process Part Two

Listen to "Methods Of Process Part Two" on Spreaker. The process. Rarely do we give it respect. Who you are in this moment. Not where you are going. But who you are has a story. A journey. Steps were taken to reach this point. What we find so easily available is every reason to reshape how we got here. One such place is getting really upset with ourselves when things don't go as planned. You should enter each day expecting the unexpected. You can have mile markers that help guide the path. But everything outside yourself controls the direction of your ship. Expect the unexpected and you will be miles ahead of anyone by way of controlling stress and anxiety.

Rain Man

And it doesn't include bringing a vocal performance to the methods of madness he pours through those huge festival speakers.

Rather than asking why is God calling you. Why not say "I am.... Yours."

Amy Foster The Rift Uprising

Listen to "Amy Foster The Rift Uprising" on Spreaker. From the very first scene, Amy S. Foster’s THE RIFT UPRISING will pull you into a world full of danger and secrets, as one young woman discovers the monsters she’s always fought against might be monsters she needs to fight for. The first book in a trilogy, THE RIFT UPRISING is already garnering major attention with two blockbuster producers, Michael Sugar (Spotlight, The Knick) and Ivan Reitman (Up in the Air, Ghostbusters) signed on for a movie version. “I was sucked into this novel from the get-go,” says David Pomerico, the acquiring editor. “Ryn is just such a fascinating heroine, the action is fantastic, and I’m sure readers will be carried along by Amy’s incredible ability as a lyricist, just as I was.” And when David says “lyricist,” he’s not speaking metaphorically. For while THE RIFT UPRISING marks Foster’s science fiction debut, she has long been a force in the creative world, most notably as Michael Bublé’s writing partner and the author of the critically-acclaimed When Autumn Leaves. A blend of YA and Adult, science fiction and military thriller, THE RIFT UPRISING is action-packed and cinematic in scope, perfect for fans not just of The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner, but also of The Bourne Identity and Edge of Tomorrow. ABOUT THE RIFT UPRISING: Normal seventeen-year-old girls go to high school, binge watch TV shows all weekend, and flirt with everyone on the face of the Earth. But Ryn Whitaker is trying to save it. Ryn is a Citadel. A soldier. A liar. Ryn and her fellow Citadels were specially chosen and trained to guard a Rift—one of fourteen unpredictable tears in the fabric of the universe that serve as doorways to alternate Earths. Unbeknownst to her family, Ryn leaves for school each day and then reports for duty as an elite, cybernetically-altered soldier who can run faster, jump farther, and fight better than a Navy SEAL—which comes in handy when she’s not sure if axe-wielding Vikings or any number of other terrified and often dangerous beings come through the Rift. A fine-tuned weapon, Ryn is a picture-perfect Citadel. But that’s all about to change. When a young man named Ezra is pulled through the Rift, Ryn finds herself immediately drawn to him, despite her training. What starts as a physical attraction quickly grows deeper, and Ezra’s curiosity throws Ryn off balance when he starts questioning the Rifts, the mysterious organization that oversees them, and the Citadels themselves—questions that lead Ryn to wonder if the lies she’s been telling her family are just the surface of a much bigger lie told to her. As Ryn and Ezra desperately try to get to that truth, they discover that each revelation blurs the line between the villains and the heroes even more. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: AMY S. FOSTER was born in Victoria, Canada to singer B.J. Cook and legendary record producer David Foster. But Amy opted out of a career in music and chose international business instead. While going to American University in Washington DC, she took a course in creative writing with renowned poet Ann Darr that would change the direction of her life. After graduating, Amy moved to London to hone her literary skills, determined to get a collection of her own poetry published. It was there that she met producer Martin Terefe (Mike Posner, Shawn Mendes, James Morrison) who asked her if she wanted him to put some music to her poetry. The two made a ground breaking spoken word record which turned Amy’s focus entirely to music and from there, the progression to becoming a lyricist was natural. Since then, artists have sought out Amy’s easy, conversational style of writing and her uncanny ability to help them tell their own stories. Amy has penned four number one hits with Michael Buble (Home, Everything and Haven’t Met You Yet, Beautiful Day). “Home” has also been covered by Westlife and Blake Shelton which gave Amy her first country Number One. She has worked with artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Destiny’s Child, Solange Knowles, Eric Benet, Diana Krall, Josh Groban, One Flew South, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, John Paul White of The Civil Wars, RyanDan, Who is Fancy, Chris Mann, and most recently a collaboration with Michah Wilshire of the band Wilshire. The two have formed their own group called QOINS . “When Autumn Leaves”, Amy’s first work of fiction was published by The Overlook Press in September 2009. Currently, Amy lives in Portland, OR with her husband Matt Freeman and their three children, Mikaela, Eva and Vaughn. Her next release is, the first in The Rift Trilogy, for Harper Collins is coming to a bookstore near you in the Fall of 2016.

XYLO

Listen to "Paige And Chase From XYLO" on Spreaker. Brother – sister duo XYLØ is a Southern California indie pop group comprised of producer/drummer/songwriter Chase Duddy (31) and his younger sister, vocalist/songwriter Paige Duddy (21). Mixing melodic, dark, lustful vocals with an atmospheric blend of indie rock, electronica, and dirty hip-hop beats, XYLØ has drawn early comparisons to the likes of Lorde and Lana Del Rey. Their songs have garnered millions of streams as well as critical praise from Zane Lowe, Complex Magazine, LA Weekly and The Guardian. Although the band was launched only one year ago, XYLØ has already amassed a global fan base. Chase and Paige were raised in a musical family; notably, their grandfather Joe Porcaro, a prominent jazz drummer and studio percussionist. Perhaps growing up in this environment led Chase and Paige to share a musical bond, although their 10 year age difference initially created a difficult barrier both personally and musically. “Since Paige and I are 10 years apart in age we didn't grow up making music together or anything like that,” says Chase. “Since I was very young when I first discovered my love for music (age 9), I knew that one day I wanted to make music for a living (Paige wasn't even born yet).” By the time Paige was old enough to want to work with her older brother, he had already moved to Hollywood to pursue his career. Chase spent the bulk of his twenties living in and around Hollywood and Los Angeles' creative Los Feliz neighborhood. During that time, he honed his skills as a touring drummer and studio producer resulting in TV syncs as well as doing custom music and composing for various campaigns. Over the years, Paige was occasionally asked to lend her voice to Chase’s projects and their chemistry as a team began to slowly develop. At the beginning of 2014, the siblings started working on their first song together. That song, a hazy pop ballad about love and freedom titled "America,” was licensed for an online PacSun commercial starring Kendall and Kylie Jenner. The internet lit up in response and the track garnered over 1.6 million listens on soundcloud as well as reached #1 on hypemachine. “I wanted to write a dark/sad sounding ballad for us that was atmospheric and started with the piano chords and a melody idea,” says Chase. “And it turned into this song that was inspired by a personal experience Paige was going through.” Paige adds, “My boyfriend was forced to leave the country because of his visa and we didn't know when we were going to see each other next. It was a really difficult time. So we drew from that and ‘America’ became about a country forcing two people apart." Following the viral success of “America,” the band self-released three subsequent singles – “Between The Devil and The Deep Blue Sea,” “After life,” and “L.A. Love Song” - with each one garnering millions of listens and contributing to the buzz around the band. At the end of 2015, XYLØ finally decided to sign a major label deal with Sony’s Disruptor Records.

The Method Of Process Part One

Listen to "Methods Of Process Part One" on Spreaker. Very few of us take the time to grip the handlebars of the ride that brought you to the present. We wake up. Climb on board. Then expect fate to be the appropriate guide. Then something causes a trip or a stumble which forces us to instantly place blame. When in fact the process of direction you've been sailing has put you in a moment that could've been controlled. Deep thinking? The next breath you take. If one element is removed from how your body works. The easily performed everyday thing adventure of bringing air to your blood stream begins to struggle. Your journey is no different.
